How Does the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
In terms of performance, the Pacifica's V6 is comparable to the Odyssey. The Sienna's hybrid offers a different driving experience focused on efficiency. Feature-wise, the Pacifica's Stow 'n Go seating is a unique advantage. Reliability is where the Pacifica sometimes lags behind the Odyssey and Sienna. Price-wise, the Pacifica is often competitive, especially in the used market.
Alternatives: If reliability is your top priority, the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna might be better choices. If you want a stylish and feature-rich minivan at a competitive price, the Kia Carnival is worth considering. The Pacifica is a good choice if you value Stow 'n Go seating and are comfortable with potentially higher repair costs compared to its rivals. The Toyota Sienna is a comparable alternative with better reliability.

Very bad reliability, but super comfort front seatOwned the top of the line trim from brand new, super comfort front seats. Excellent sound system when it is working. But very bad reliability. I managed to drove it for 300,000 miles! But myself is an engineer and fix most of car problems myself. Repairs were very often as I can't even list all of them here, but the major ones were: Replaced transmission twice, Replaced AC compressor 5 times, Replaced radiator 4 times. Replaced engine front and back main seals. Replaced alternator twice Replaced valve cover seal and oil pan 3 and 5 times Replaced all struts twice. Replaced power steering rack and pump twice. ...............Too long to list all At the end the resell value is $200. If I had owned the T****a, resell value at 300k mile was 10x more at $2000. Never again for Chrysler!!!!

Run away!2020 touring L. Where do I begin? Bought with 5k miles on it. Multiple times the door wouldn’t work, had to do manually. Made it about 35,000 miles and that’s when the transmission started acting funny. Shifting into 2nd/3rd when the rpm’s get to 2 the car either stalls or hard shifts so bad it feels like I ran over something. But doesn’t do this all of the time. Just randomly , but became more frequent. The start/stop battery has had to be replaced twice. Now I just turn it off as soon as I get in the car. The display will randomly freeze or turn black completely. Never again. Just traded it out at 61,000 miles. Do not buy! Same thing happened to my neighbor, hers made it to 80k miles. Bad transmission and coolant issues.

Great CarBeen reading some of the reviews about people who have trouble with their Pacifica. I bought a touring L plus 31/2 years ago and it’s been one of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Had one small problem with the sliding doors, showing me that I should wash sensor under car. Learned that all you have to do is pull a fuse under the hood and the signal on the dash goes away. Haven’t had that problem for over 30,000 miles. Runs great drives great and is comfortable. I don’t know what more I could ask. Most of the time 29 miles to the gallon on the highway or more. It is true that stop start won’t work if the batteries are bad or low I just replaced my batteries and now everything is fine again.

Good driving but bad electronicsComfortable driving and big car for loading bikes or more people. Problems with electronics. -- Flickering screen. It happen after 1 year after I purchased new 2020 Pacifica. The replacement gave me 2 years warranty. Now the 2 years warranty is over and the screen is flickering. Looks like a software bug, not a hardware. When I replace the radio fuse, the screen is good for a day or two. Dealer estimated $700 to replace the radio. -- Auto start-stop feature was working for 6 months only. I asked the dealer many times to fix it but he said that I need more drive to load the battery. I was driving for 4 to 6 hours non-stop and it did not help. The dealer would not do anything about it. -- Door locks never worked properly, One time the door will open and the next time I have to place my hand over the door many times in order to automatically unlock the door. The dealer always had an excuse not to fix it, he was telling me that I need to wait longer each time for the door to open, total nonsense. If one time the door would open in 1 second why the next time I have to wait 5 seconds. - When I press the button to move the sode window to go up, the window goes down. I have to play for a while in order to close the window. -- Car key battery low after 1 year. -- Garage door opener not sending signal from a distance, you have to be by the garage door.

Classiest lemon aroundWe have owned 2, a 17 and a 2021. We bought our 21 with 6 miles. We have just over 27k on it now. The uconnect, worked for about 1k miles, the car has been in the shop 4 times.... 2 major, repairs top half of motor removed. The electronics are horrible. We saw this thing n had to have it, its so sleek, clean, and the intererior screams classy. The safty ratings are outstanding.... but man, reliability is the worst i have ever experienced. Hands diwn. I cant wait to get out of this rolling disaster. I will never buy another chrystler. This killed the whole brand for me. Permanently.

Pacifica limitedGreat car we got the Pacifica limited. Enjoy all the extras on the van. Just wish the windshield was tinted. We constantly have to use the visors to help with the brightness outside

Luv my Pacifica!Had the older SUV version Pacifica & never had a problem in 8 years, excellent on road trips. When the new version came out I was hesitant to go back to a minivan look (kids are grown) but we do many road trips a year and need room and comfort. We got a 2017 Pacifica which exceeded our expectations on road trips by far! We camp in the back, luggage on roof, fabulous gas mileage! Even went to each coast for xmas in heavy snow up in NH Mtns & the car did great (We drive appx 5,000 each trip) The bad-back issues someone mentioned...I don't get it, the lumbar is fabulous, the seats are comfy, lots of leg room (we are in our late 50's and climb all around in that car and on the roof, no problem). However two years in we started to have electronic issues, had to replace the big battery ($300 or so, all the flashy safety features suck it up) then the small battery. Lots of the "alert" signs appeared for various things, but there wasn't ever a real problem. (Hate to say it but we have a lot of safety features turned off, not once have I trusted a back-up camera, we are SO old school) Then 4-1/2 years in, driving down the road, the transmission went. NOT happy! The warranty was still good for it and it was all taken care of, but still...a 3 1/2 year old car?? But we're keeping our car, I LOVE my Pacifica! I do believe ours, a 2017, since it was the first year of the re-made Pacifica's, was trial & error with issues, we should've waited till 2018! I would absolutely get another!

Not good value, not reliable. For how much these vans are they are the xxxxtiest, most unreliable vans ever. I bought this car last year. It was used with very low miles and overall in almost new shape. Within 6 months the doors have had problems, I’ve had to replace the battery twice, the AC has had to be recharged twice, and the back movie screen doesn’t work at all. Could be the dealer but other people with the same car but new have the same problems.

Absolutely! We bought our Pacifica new, and have had it for two years now. The only problem we have had, is a (tiny) paint defect on the bumper lip which happened during build, and is covered by warranty. No other problems. Pacifica is well thought out, with luxury to spare! Not only do I recommend, but I would buy another one in a heartbeat, were the need were to arise! Beautiful van!!
