Analysis
What Problems Does the 2020 Volvo XC60 Have?
Recalls for the 2020 XC60 have included issues related to the fuel pump, which could potentially lead to engine stalling. Other recalls have addressed problems with the automatic emergency braking system and the driver's side airbag. It's essential to check the vehicle's VIN with the NHTSA database to confirm whether any recalls apply and if the necessary repairs have been performed.
Long-term reliability concerns generally center on the complexity of the vehicle's electronics. Issues with sensors, control modules, and the hybrid system (on T8 models) are potential concerns as the vehicle ages. Regular maintenance, including software updates, is crucial to mitigating these risks. Some owners have also noted that the turbocharged and supercharged engines can be more prone to oil consumption over time. Given the complexity of the hybrid powertrain on T8 models, long-term battery health and related repair costs should be considered. Thorough inspection and a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic are recommended when considering a used 2020 XC60.

Nice car/high maintenanceEnjoying driving my cxc60. I love this car. The disappointments thus far have been that I had to replace tires at 18k! Now I am replacing brakes at 32 k to the tune of $900 / never have I replaced brakes that soon & the brakes actually had been worn down to the metal and broken the rotors - no warning until recently I was hearing an unusual sound - I am probably going to trade this car once the brakes are fixed

Long time comingWaited a long time to go from a 2010 to a 2020 XC60. There is no comparison to the fit, comfort, and digital experience. The stereo is outstanding. Like night and day. And I really like the older XC60!

Love my carLove my car. Had it two years, it is solid, reliable and I feel very safe driving it. When I drive other cars, I can't wait to get back in it.

My first VolvoI sold my Toyota RAV4 and purchased a Volvo XC 60. I have been very pleased with the performance of the car. I have to admit I miss the gas mileage of the Toyota RAV4. Some of the detailing of the interior of the car seen a bit cheap. The first time I used the hood latch the trim around the latch handle came loose.I purchased the car because of the safety reputation and history of Volvo.

Safest - Most Intuitive - BeautifulI have rarely felt a genuine affection for a car. I had a 2013 XC60 before this and technologically, the 2020 is lightyears ahead. You can tell how much thought Volvo put into this car when the Auto Start/Stop feature is so seamless that I have no desire to turn it off. I give all voice commands for everything from climate to Nav to radio so there is no need to take your eye off of the road.

Best car I have ever owned! This is by far the most comfortable, best looking, and most enjoyable car I have had. Its interior is serene, beautiful, and a great place to be. I love the look of the car inside and out. Its not a sports car, but then it wasnt designed to be, but it drives great with plenty of power.

Comfort with performanceThis is my 4th Volvo. I love the size of this SUV! Right before this car I drove a Tahoe so I'm loving the smaller size. I am a realtor and this car is luxurious and comfortable for clients. Having all of the newest technology makes road trips so much more safe and less stressful.

A solid B gradeMy wife wanted a car more luxurious than our 2014 Honda CRV. I didn't agree but held my tongue. Bought via Volvo overseas delivery program which includes a discount on airfare to Sweden. In part buying the car was to allow her and one son a trip to Scandavia. I had no interest in going. Pros: Attractive styling in and out. Comfy seats and ride. Car is substantial in size so perhaps good collision protection. Engine, T6 316hp model, is powerful, very responsive, ingenious design. Transmission very smooth shifting at logical points. Enough "trunk" storage. Cons, plenty: Front interior compartment is cramped. Larger bodied and taller people may not fit at all. Ride comfort is somewhat firm befitting an SUV. If you want a land cruiser, move on. Touch screen electronic control of "all things vehicular" is annoying. Takes time to learn it. Operating the screen functions while driving just is not safe! Takes your eyes too far from the road. Far too many electronic this and that functions in this car. Repair bills for these once off warranty could be/will be very high. Our special order paint color has barely any metallic in it. Our CRV stock color is superior, almost metal flake quality. Exterior door handle are made with a metal cover over the mechanical handle. The cover is a bit loose. Weird. Engine compartment: cramped with certain maintainable items oddly and placed lending to difficult use. Many exposed wires that should have been wrapped. Battery in the trunk with MANY wires needing protective wrap. Oh and the first day we had it the hood latch malfunctioned! Volvo makes some odd, industry unusual decisions in many areas of design and function. I would sell this car if given the choice, but my wife loves her new toy. Meh....... Considering purchase? Test drive(s) before you commit. Overseas delivery did save us a true $10k over dealer. Process just takes months to complete.

Awesome Lease - Great ExperienceWe love this car. It's roomy vs. it's competition and a beautiful car inside and out. The quality, technology, and performance have exceeded all expectations.

Our tenth Volvo over 34 yearsVolvo has done a great of refining the XC60 since our 2016. More responsive and very comfortable in all the correct areas. They do not rest on their laurels!
