The Good
The 2020 S-Class offers exceptional performance and a supremely comfortable ride. Its elegant design and luxurious interior appeal to emotional buyers, while practical buyers appreciate its advanced safety features and impressive, albeit not class-leading, reliability. The S-Class provides a status symbol that balances luxury with usable technology and smooth power delivery.
The Bad
The 2020 S-Class, while luxurious, can suffer from complex electronics issues. Air suspension problems are a potential concern, as are issues with the infotainment system. Maintenance can be expensive, and some may find the sheer amount of technology overwhelming. Repair costs for the advanced systems can be significant.

What Problems Does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Have?
Recalls for the 2020 S-Class have included issues related to the fuel pump, potentially causing engine stalling, and problems with the emergency call system. Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the complex electronics and the potential for expensive repairs as the car ages. The air suspension and infotainment system are typically the areas that owners worry about most. Owners should be vigilant about regular maintenance, especially fluid changes and software updates, to mitigate potential problems. Early model years of this generation S-Class (2014-2017) had more widely reported issues, which Mercedes-Benz addressed in later iterations like the 2020 model, but some issues persist.

How Does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Compare to Other Sedan?
Reliability is a mixed bag; the Lexus LS generally enjoys a stronger reputation for long-term reliability, while the German competitors can be prone to more issues. Price is relatively similar across the segment, although options can significantly impact the final cost.
Alternatives to the S-Class include the BMW 7 Series, which offers a sportier driving experience, and the Audi A8, which boasts cutting-edge technology. The Lexus LS provides a more reliable and less expensive (though less emotionally stirring) ownership experience. The Porsche Panamera is another alternative, offering sporty performance and unique styling. Ultimately, the best choice depends on individual priorities.

Great performance, smooth drive. We installed solar system in preparation of buying Tesla. We borrow the car from a friend for 3 weeks to try and that was the best decision we made. After driving an Merceds S-class in the past, Tesla is horrible, you feel every bump in the road. Nothing to compare with the smooth drive on Mercedes S-class. It worths every penny and actually the lease price is very similar.

S560 4matic sedan...best car I ever owned.I've owned Cadillac, G90, and Lexus LS and simply put they don't come close to MB S560. The ride alone is just better. We will be using this car for traveling so there will be more to come.

Exceptional design and quality of the S-560 4MaticI custom ordered this vehicle. It is exactly what I wanted. The styling will stand up well over the next 10 plus years. It is exceptionally quiet, it rides beautifully, and it has wonderful road manners. Comfort is flawless. No initial quality issues. The car has numerous electronic features which take time to learn if you are new to MB. No regrets.

By far the best car I have ever driven!Surprisingly, this vehicle drives transformationally better than the 2017 S550 it replaced. The instant throttle response and enhanced handling are as good as it gets.
