We are the original owners…Love my Yukon… 178,000 miles… I am the original owner… It was saying anniversary gift from my husband… He passed away in 2015… I have put $7000 into the truck new tires, $1000, fuel pump under the gas tank $1100 , Brake lines radiator power steering pump all in the same week 1700 Axle seals… Cooler to the power steering pump… Upper and lower belts… Repainted it completely tailgate had rusted 1800… And a few other repairs… Today it needs nothing To my knowledge… No oil or trans leaks. As a widow who really can’t afford a new car I would love to keep it… But I am afraid about dependability and being stuck somewhere… I totally love my truck… My question is should I keep it? I still love it I just can’t afford an engine or transmission if it doesn’t go to 300,000… I am too young to collect my husband Social Security yet so can’t afford it for another three years to get a car

Very reliable car.I purchased a used 2001 GMC Yukon with a lot of options. I'm a big guy, 6'3" and big-boned, with two younger children that require car seats. There is still some room behind me with the seat back up all of the ways. The features and smart key are a nice touch.

Great SUV for the priceI enjoyed this vehicle and all around comfort and reliability. The only down fall was the performance. It was equipped with the 4.8L V8 and didn?t have much go and really liked drinking the fuel.

Tough TruckGood for the long hall. I have 200000 miles on it and still going. Seats are not good, interior space is good. Minor mainteance. Good towing.

It Keeps on Running!I purchased my Yukon new in 2001 and I have always run synthetic oil in it. It now has 174,000 miles on it, burns no oil, and it will outrun any econo-car at the red light. I get 17 miles to the gallon driving to and from work with the 285 hp 5.3 motor (and I keep my foot into it...jack-rabbit starts and racing every other car on the long bridges!). I love the way this car drives. Yes it drives like a car and NOT like a truck. It is now 10 years old and the only repairs I have had are the passenger window motor and a transmission rebuild at about 110k miles (too much racing I suppose!)--Great vehicle and I plan to keep it for many years to come.
