Final Verdict: Is the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class a Good Sedan?

After three years, I can't part ways with my CLSI am now 3 years into ownership of a 2018 CLS 550, which I purchased new. The motivating factor to buy was that this was to be the last year that the big twin turbo V8 would be offered and it is a wonderful powerplant. I have not had one moment of regret since the day I picked my car up at the dealership and this includes MB service, which has been superb. I have done a few minor upgrades to the car, such as adding CarPlay, eliminating the engine shutoff feature, adding a rear spoiler and swapping out the standard front grill for an AMG vertical bar version. I haven't owned a car for 3 years+ in 50 years of driving, but every time I start to look at replacing my CLS, I can't find a vehicle that I would be satisfied with over the CLS, without spending well north of $100k. I love the power, the handling, the luxury features and the gorgeous lines of this car. In my opinion, at its current used car price, if you could find a 2015-2018 model year, (pretty much the same car) with low mileage, its one of the best used cars available. Strongly recommend.

It's a civilized rocketshipVery well mannered and tame when you wanted it to be. Turned into a growling beats when you change drives modes. My edition was the AMG S Model with 585hp and drove itself with DISTRONIC activated.

Powerful yet Luxurious!!This was my first luxurious MBZ. I bought in January of 2020 and I absolutely LOVE my car. The front of the car has an aggressive sporty but sleek and elegant look/feel. It drives well and turns on a dime.

At 6 months of ownershipAfter 6 months and 8000 miles this car still lights me up every time I get in it. I've had zero issues and am finally starting to realize the full potential of this amazing machine. It would be difficult now to go to driving anything else. Worth the wait and everything the reviews have said it to be. No buyers remorse here.

Beautiful carIt?s very comfortable and very stable on high speed. The brakes are magical. The fastness is amazing. It?s definitely worth to get. The steering is very soft and easy to get control of while on high speed. The sound system is great as well

Nicest ride I've ever purchasedI've been in the market for a CLS for over a year. Bought a 2015 550 two weeks ago. Iridium Silver with Designo red interior, AMG sport package, premium 2 etc, etc. This thing turns heads. The twin turbo V8 has more than ample power and the interior feels like a bank vault with all the goodies. Mine is fully optioned and I am still getting to know it. An amazing vehicle and I've owned a few. This one tops the list.
