Not very comfy at 6'1I got my dream car! Finally can afford it after 5 years of depreciation! It's definitely the best convertible out there, if driven 1-2 hours at a time. Anything more than that would give me back pain. The seats are not very comfortable, and they do not lean back enough when at farthest setting from steering wheel (I've got long legs). Everything else about this car is almost perfect! The interior could be improved also, but who cares with such a sexy exterior!

SL 63 -- Truly a Gentlemans supercar2011 SL63-- when you are looking for a supercar, but dont want the stiff ride that rattles your teeth, the SL63 is the answer. 518hp, paddle shift, unbelievable get up and go, an exhaust note that will stop your heart, and all this with heated, cooled, and massage seats. Oh, did I mention an warm air scarf that blows heat on your neck on those cold days should you want the top down. All the creature comforts of a luxury car, but the absolute heart of a top end sports car. A blast to drive, reliable, and truly a grand touring hard top convertible that you can drive for hours and hours.

This is a GT, not a sports carThis car is a great cruiser with plenty of power and handling to keep it fun. If you are looking for a lively sports car, buy a Porsche, but if you are looking for a fantastic luxury sports convertible, there is no better car. This car is absolutely packed with every option you can image to make you drive pleasant. With the top down at 80mph and the windows up, there is virtually no wind in the cockpit. On cool nights, turn on the airscarf to blow warm air on your neck. The driving experience is impressive. The suspension system creates the illusion of a much lighter car when needed, but gives you that rock solid, heavy Mercedes ride always. This is no light weight machine. The V8 is smooth, but not chest-pressingly quick. Think locomotive, rather than racecar. That is not to say it is slow, but in this day and age of twin turbos, the normally aspirated SL is much more linear in the way it gets to 100mph. All that said, there are some things that Mercedes forgot in 2011. Generally speaking, the interface that houses the navigation system, radio, phone, etc is difficult and not intuitive. As well, the phone interface is maddening and the mic is noise sensitive (not a great feature in a convertible). Lastly, the gas mileage is measured in feet not miles (I average 14.7mpg to work). But, in a car that automatically turns on the air conditioned seats when you remotely put the top down and is powered by a creamy V8 mounted on a truly mind-blowing suspension, the minus fall away pretty fast. After all, this is a Mercedes SL.

Greatest Car I've Ever Owned!I recently bought a 2011 Mercedes SL 63 AMG. It's performance is amazing. i've never had more fun with any other car. Great for me and the girlfriend. As an 18 year old, this car is beast!

Best Car I've Ever OwnedI bought one in Jauary of 2011, and i only drove it once til summer, but i fell in love. This car is awesome, and it's my personal favorite out of the 3 i have. It's comfort, very fast, and quite the eye catch.

M.B. SL550This car looks and handles beautifully. Unfortunately what M.B. refers to as "safety features" are for the companies safety and not the car owners. The convenience features are about the most inconvenient of any car I've ever owned and the navigation system would make a very expensive paper weight.
