The Good
The 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 boasts powerful performance, especially with the Cummins diesel, making it a practical choice for heavy workloads. Its rugged design and imposing presence appeal to emotional buyers, while decent reliability and value for money are strong selling points. Comfortable cabin options further enhance the ownership experience.

Rust can also be a problem, particularly in areas with harsh winters. Fuel economy, especially with the gasoline engines, is generally poor. What Problems Does the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Have?
How long will the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) should be researched using the specific cab configuration (regular, quad, crew) as results can vary. Generally, the truck performed adequately in frontal crash tests, but side-impact protection was weaker without the optional side airbags.
Optional features could include things like power-adjustable pedals, sunroof, and rear-seat DVD entertainment system. The technology and safety features are dated, so buyers should prioritize mechanical condition and maintenance history over cutting-edge technology when considering a 2007 Ram 2500.

How Does the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Compare to Other Pickup Truck?
Alternatives depend on priorities. If diesel performance is paramount, the Ram 2500 is a good choice, particularly with the Cummins engine. For greater overall reliability and a more modern interior, a later model Ford F-250 or Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD might be a better option, albeit at a higher price point. Consider a Toyota Tundra if reliability is your number one concern but understand that towing capacity may not meet the Ram's capability.

always wanted a 5.9Bought the truck for the 5.9 Cummins motor and its sound. I am very pleased with the truck. bought a 2007 with 93K miles on it in 2021, body was mint, Florida truck, no rust. I am pleased with it so far, only minor issues and ones I can repair in my home garage.

Outstanding Beast of a Pickup! This truck has been outstanding. Owned one since 2007 and it will tow anything, is very comfortable, has been very reliable and still a great looking truck! The 5.9L Cummins is simply one of the best diesel engines ever put in a pickup.

Very strong and reliable I have put 200,000 kmsVery strong drivetrain and overall body is solid I've put lotta miles on my truck I have had no problems with it at all not even with lightbulbs. I highly recommend Dodge Truck to anyone looking for a pick up truck. I had Diesel fords in the past and some GM's and they are not comparable to this product

Can't beat the 6.7 Cummins Turbo diesel! This drive train is awesome. Strong and dependable. Truck is very clean with minimal wear & tear. Engine has always had either Amsoil or Mobil 1 Synthetic lubricants.

Very fine truck for someone looking to haul anythiThis is a very strong truck that has power and torque to spare. I did not buy the top of the line luxury model, but an SLT comes well appointed. I'm sure to get many miles and journeys out of this truck.

A true lemonThis particular car(not rams in general) is a nightmare. Slips out of gear in reverse, and worse suddenly dies while driving, which could be fatal!

All the power you will ever need. The best word to describe this truck would be ...its a BEAST! Ive had the older 5.9 Cummins before and I thought I knew what power was. The torque and power of the 6.7 Cummins is just obscene. Ive been able to tow up a steep grade pulling a double car trailer, the truck full of people, tools, equipment, fuel, with the AC on.....in 6th gear. Like nothing....as if I wasnt pulling anything at all. As if that wasn't enough....25mpg! On the highway this truck is a dream. I will admit the stick shift can be a pain in the xxx in traffic and on the street. Suspension is kind of stiff, but then again its a work truck. When you drive it you, take on on 2nd gear, not 1st. If you need a super powerful truck to tow with...there is nothing else that comes even close. Also, this year does not require the bothersome DEF fluid additive. You will not regret buying this truck for your heavy duty needs. The automatics go through the transmissions every few years because of so much power. Get the stick shift!
