The Good
The 2013 BRZ excels in handling and driver engagement, appealing to enthusiasts. Its relatively simple design contributes to decent reliability. Fuel efficiency is good for a sports car. It offers excellent value for its performance level. The BRZ provides an emotional connection through its responsive driving experience and a practical side through its respectable fuel economy and maintenance costs.
The Bad
The 2013 BRZ's weaknesses include a lack of low-end torque, which can make it feel sluggish at lower RPMs. The interior is basic and lacks some modern amenities. Be mindful of potential oil consumption issues, especially in early models. Some owners have also reported issues with the valve springs. Check for proper maintenance history.

Final Verdict: Is the 2013 Subaru BRZ a Good Coupe?

Never getting rid of itI own a 2013 subaru brz and I've had it for a year now and I will say I feel like I cheated the other guy, because my money went way further than I could've imagined. I'll keep it short and sweet. Handles amazing, huge community behind the car. I get compliments all the time. Simple interior yet easy on the eye. Has a very Analog feel to it. When you corner you can tell that this thing grips amazingly with even the stock tires. Huge aftermarket/ cheap parts. I've only had to change the oil and plugs because of the mileage my car has(70k) I decided to tune it up even though the plugs were still fine. Stereo sucked but fixed that problem pretty easily, hence the aftermarket. Torque dip around 4k rpm but uel headers and a tune fixed that. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and I can't stop putting miles on this car.

Great car so far!Peppy little thing! Wanted a Subaru and couldnt beat the dealers price. Car lacks a center console pad, which is weird, but its no biggie. Factory designed that way. Car is comfy, and it fits me well. Great legroom, and the switches, knobs, etc, are in good spots. Backup camera is nice. Easy to wash and clean. So far Im very happy with my BRZ

Most Fun Car I have ever owned.Super fun car, very reliable. Not too fast but it is quick because it's very light. Handles amazingly, manual is a must for this car.

Great car. Future track carNice car, not a lot of room...but it doesn’t need it. Fun to drive. I plan on turning it into a track car eventually. Transmission is smooth, heated seats, bluetooth radio.

Love my BRZThis is exactly what our son wanted to complete his 2020 graduation year. Very comfortable ride. This is very sporty 6 speed manual loaded car.

This car has been a reliable hootFor such a small little sports coupe, it sure does check a lot of boxes. It's a blast to drive, fuel efficient, surprisingly comfortable and spacious, and get compliments all the time. Any day a little kid comes to me and tells me my car looks like the batmobile, I walk a little taller for the rest of the day haha!

My kid loves itI wish my dad bought me this for good grades and a job. Low miles expectations of lots of memories. Great first car he really takes care of.

Porsche on a budgetCar handles great. Let it rain or snow and you’ll be throwing that tail around at Will. Does sometimes feel underpowered though, specifically in 6th gear.

amazing carBest car I've ever owned. Simply got to fat to get in it anymore. The only downfall would be the lack of power. Would recommend to a friend every time.

A great, reliable sports car. This vehicle is the perfect mix of performance and comfort. The power isn’t too much nor little and it fits the vehicle nicely. The cornering is impeccable and is worth noting. You couldn’t go wrong with this car.
