The Good
The 2013 Yaris offers exceptional fuel efficiency and Toyota's legendary reliability, appealing to practical buyers. Its compact size makes it easy to park and maneuver. The Yaris provides a comfortable ride for its class, and its modern (for the time) design can be surprisingly appealing to those seeking a simple, reliable, and economical car.
The Bad
The 2013 Yaris's weaknesses include its relatively small engine, which can feel underpowered, especially when fully loaded or on hills. The interior is basic and lacks some of the higher-end features found in competitors. Road noise can also be noticeable. Potential buyers should watch out for signs of wear and tear on the suspension and brakes.

How Does the 2013 Toyota Yaris Compare to Other Hatchback?
In terms of features, the Yaris is fairly basic, especially in the lower trims, while the Fit offers more versatility with its "Magic Seat" system. The Accent and Fiesta often provide more modern features for a similar price.
Considering the used market, a Honda Fit might be a better alternative if you prioritize versatility and a more engaging driving experience. A Hyundai Accent could be a good choice if you want more features for the price. However, if reliability and fuel efficiency are your top priorities, the Yaris remains a solid choice. The Nissan Versa offers exceptional value for those primarily concerned with low cost and maximum space.

Super carUbered three years in it and everybody said this is a great little car. They were thinking about getting it for their teenagers first brake job at 266,000 miles I’m sorry incorrect 244,000 miles. Great gas mileage, pretty quick for a little car no problems catching up to people.

Great gas mileageVery good small car. Reliable. Never had any engine problems. Tires have less than 15,000 miles on them. Battery was replaced Sept. of 2018. Only selling because I no longer need a second car.

Responsible design for reliabilityThe LE model 4door hatchback delivers 36mpg, easy ingress/egress, very practical and well thought out interior, proven engine and transmission, inexpensive and easy to work on, easy handling in parking lots and streets. No hiccups, this car is a keeper.

reliable, fuel efficient, noisyI bought a 2 year old certified 2013 Yaris L (hatchback) with 25k mils and used it for more than 3 years (65k miles). 4 Adults can sit comfortably. Engine makes huge noise when ever driven over 75 miles per hour. Fuel efficient 34-35 on highway and 29-30 in city. Very less maintenance. Infact i only had change the tires and brakes and rotors (rear drum brake) for this. I drove it in Michigan winters and snow with both all-season and winter tires. It fares just fine considering it is not a 4 wheel drive.

Reliable carNice car for 3 years, has done a good job cheap on gas and good for long distances. Easy to fix , easy to sell not a hole lot of downside to the vehicle.

Love this Car!!!The best car I have ever owned. The critical ratings that it has received are mainly due to the fact that this car is made to be a standard five speed, and most Americans can't drive cars with manual transmissions. So Toyota makes Yarises with automatic transmissions for the U.S. market, and with an automatic transmission, acceleration speed and fun-to-drive are lost. This is a little European type car. It beats any other car in its class, and gets bogus bad reviews from people who have limited driving tastes.
