What Problems Does the 2020 Hyundai Veloster Have?
While the Veloster has not had a significant number of recalls, it's essential to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for the most up-to-date information on any recalls that may have been issued. Long-term reliability concerns mostly center around the DCT. Regular maintenance, including fluid changes according to the manufacturer's recommendations, is crucial for prolonging its lifespan. Overall, the Veloster generally enjoys reasonable reliability compared to other cars in its class, but potential DCT problems in Turbo models should be carefully considered, especially when purchasing a used vehicle. Thorough inspection and a test drive focusing on transmission performance are advisable.
How long will the 2020 Hyundai Veloster last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features across the Veloster lineup include a rearview camera, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and a suite of airbags. The Turbo Ultimate trim is equipped with the most comprehensive safety package. Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA should be checked for specific scores, but the Veloster generally performs well in crash tests. The availability of advanced safety features like forward collision warning and lane-keeping assist contributes to its overall safety rating. The blend of entertainment and safety technologies makes the 2020 Veloster a competitively equipped vehicle in its class.

How Does the 2020 Hyundai Veloster Compare to Other Hatchback?
Feature-wise, the Veloster offers a solid array of tech and safety features, comparable to its rivals. However, reliability ratings for the Veloster can be slightly lower than the Honda and Mazda. Considering price, the Veloster often presents a better value than the GTI, but the Civic and Mazda3 can be similarly priced depending on trim levels. If practicality and space are paramount, the Civic Hatchback is a strong contender. For driving enthusiasts prioritizing performance, the GTI is a better choice, albeit at a higher price. The Mazda3 offers a good balance of features, refinement, and available AWD. A similar alternative focusing on sporty styling and affordability would be the Kia Forte5.

Great Car for new driverThe Veloster is a great first car for a new driver. The technology inside and the hatchback are my son's favorite part. Gas mileage is also good.

No other car gives you this much for the price!I just picked up my 2020 Veloster R-Spec. This car is an absolute blast to drive. The styling is very unique and looks modern, but it's not overly done. The handling and performance are amazing, plus it gets really good gas mileage for a turbo charged car. The interior is really comfortable and all the controls are conveniently placed. The 6 speed manual with short shifter has a really nice feel and is very precise. You really can't beat the performance for the price!

Veloster number two!Love this automobile, a beauty, it's f.a.s.t. Comfortable, and a whole lot of fun to drive. Easy to handle, truth be told I would have liked the N series but .....
Midlife crisis car per my husband on March 2, 2020
Fun and sporty. Lots of room for the driver. This car is is much cheaper than my old 2013 Ford C-Max hybrid yet has almost the same level of extras. Rides nice. Gettint 37 mpg when using paddle shifters.
Lowend69 on February 24, 2020
So far, so good!I have only had the car a few days and so far, I love it! Fun to drive and love all of the technology! My last car was 8 years old and didn't really have any of the newest tech out there. I can see this becoming my favorite car I have ever owned.

It's Just Plain Fun!I own the base 2.0 and could not be happier! The car handles well and the ride is sporty but comfortable. For being a base model, the performance of the normally aspirated engine is still respectable. The fuel economy is great as well. I average 32 mpg.

My 4th HyundaiLike everything about it but the back passenger headroom. Don't be tall or your head will touch the headliner. Steering is a little stiff, but when I find the right driving mode, it may improve.
