What Problems Does the 2019 Jaguar F-PACE Have?

The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE has faced its share of reported problems. A frequently cited issue involves the infotainment system, which can be slow to respond, glitchy, or prone to freezing. Electrical problems, including issues with the battery, sensors, and wiring, have also been reported. Some owners have experienced problems with the panoramic sunroof, such as leaks or malfunctions.

Long-term reliability is a concern for some, as the F-PACE has not consistently ranked highly in reliability surveys. Issues with the engine, transmission, and suspension have been noted, although not widespread. Specific recalls may have been issued for the 2019 model year related to components such as fuel lines or braking systems; it is always recommended to check the NHTSA website for current recall information. The 2017 and 2018 model years of the F-PACE had similar reliability issues, and some of these concerns carried over to the 2019 model. Careful inspection and a thorough pre-purchase inspection are crucial when considering a used 2019 F-PACE. Addressing software updates and ensuring proper maintenance can help mitigate some of these potential problems.

How long will the 2019 Jaguar F-PACE last?

With proper maintenance, a 2019 Jaguar F-PACE can reasonably be expected to last for 150,000 to 200,000 miles or 10-13 years. However, achieving this lifespan depends heavily on consistent maintenance, including regular oil changes, fluid checks, and timely repairs.

Long-term durability can be affected by potential weaknesses in the electrical system, infotainment system, and suspension components. Neglecting maintenance or delaying repairs can lead to accelerated wear and tear and potentially shorten the vehicle's lifespan. Addressing any issues promptly is key to maximizing the vehicle's longevity.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?

The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE comes with a range of built-in tech, entertainment, driver-assistance, and safety features. The standard infotainment system includes an 8-inch touchscreen (upgradable to a 10.2-inch screen), Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and a rearview camera. Higher trims offer features like navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a premium Meridian sound system.

Driver-assistance features include standard lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and driver condition monitor. Optional features include blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and park assist. Safety features encompass standard airbags, stability control, and anti-lock brakes.

Crash-test ratings from agencies like the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) can provide valuable insights into the vehicle's safety performance. Checking these ratings is recommended for potential buyers. Some models may include features like a head-up display and a 360-degree camera system, enhancing both convenience and safety.

2019 Jaguar F-PACE Prices and Market Value

The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE had a starting MSRP of around $45,000, with higher trims exceeding $80,000 when new. As of late 2024, used market prices range from approximately $25,000 to $45,000, depending on the trim, mileage, and condition.

The F-PACE experiences moderate depreciation, influenced by factors like its reliability reputation and the overall demand for luxury SUVs. Higher trims and models with lower mileage tend to retain their value better. A well-maintained vehicle with a clean history will also command a higher resale price. Market fluctuations also play a role in determining resale values.

2019 Jaguar F-PACE Cost of Ownership

Owning a 2019 Jaguar F-PACE can be relatively costly. Insurance premiums tend to be higher due to its luxury status and potential repair costs. Fuel costs depend on the engine choice and driving habits, but are generally average for the class. Maintenance and repair expenses can be significant, particularly for specialized parts and labor. Long-term ownership costs should factor in potential electrical issues and the need for regular servicing to maintain performance and reliability. It's generally considered less economical compared to some competitors.

2019 Jaguar F-PACE Insurance

Insurance for a 2019 Jaguar F-PACE is moderately priced, reflecting its status as a Sport Utility Vehicle Vehicle with strong safety ratings and
reasonable repair costs.

How Does the 2019 Jaguar F-PACE Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle Vehicle?

The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE competes with other luxury compact SUVs like the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Porsche Macan. In terms of performance, the F-PACE offers a sporty driving experience, comparable to the Macan and X3, but may not match the GLC's refined ride. Features are competitive, although the infotainment system lags behind some rivals in usability. Reliability is where the F-PACE falls short compared to the Audi Q5 and Lexus NX. Pricing is similar to its German competitors.

Alternatives to consider include the BMW X3, known for its performance and handling; the Audi Q5, praised for its comfortable interior and reliability; and the Porsche Macan, offering superior performance and driving dynamics. If reliability is a top priority, the Lexus NX is a better choice, though it lacks the F-PACE's sporty feel. The Volvo XC60 provides a stylish and comfortable alternative with a strong focus on safety.

Final Verdict: Is the 2019 Jaguar F-PACE a Good Sport Utility Vehicle Vehicle?

The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE is ideal for buyers who prioritize sporty handling, stylish design, and a luxurious interior. It's a good choice for those who appreciate a distinctive British SUV and are willing to accept potential reliability concerns. Whether it's worth buying depends on individual priorities and risk tolerance.

A used 2019 F-PACE can be a good value if purchased with a thorough inspection and a comprehensive warranty. Lower trims with fewer options may be more reliable. If reliability is a major concern, exploring alternatives like the Audi Q5 or Lexus NX may be prudent. Consider the 3.0L V6 for better performance than the base engine.

Would highly recommend the 2019 Fpace S!!!

I bought my 2019 Fpace S new and haven't had any problems with it. This is the longest I've ever kept a vehicle! It's fun to drive, tight, and responsive. Interior is really nice and comfortable. I've driven the car around town, interstate road trips, rain, snow, and even on beaches . . . it had handled well in all conditions.

Great looking and fun to drive

The car has been great to drive around town and on very long trips. It gets a lot of luxe because of the uniqueness of the design. We did have some minor issues with the entertainment system and interior lighting. But the dealer was able to fix that with an upgrade to the software. So far, we are happy with it.

Worst reliable car I've owned

2017 Jaguar F-Pace Prestige 35t V6 3.0L Supercharge VIN: SADCK2BV0HA061290 Current mileage: 86k Current status: Disabled. Manf. warranty expired in June 2020. I bought this car (VIN: SADCK2BV0HA061290) in the summer of 2016 at Jaguar Farmington Hills dealer in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The performance is not bad for a SUV. Handling is above average. Interior is typical low-end luxury style with mixed cheap plastic. Ongoing issues started after 18 months : bluetooth dropping, Auto start/stop, front break noise. 2 months after the manufacturer warranty expired (June 2020), coolant got into engine (???) and busted. Dealers quoted $20K-$30K to fix or replace damaged engine. I've been a dumbfounded and still can't believe its reliability is far worse than my basic 2013 Dodge Dart.

This is my favorite car of all the cars I've had. on January 3, 2020

My favorite car ever

I love this car. I went from a full sized TAHOE to a smaller sized F- Pace because it was time to drive a more economical car. It will take time getting used to all the bells and whistles but it's a thrill to see all what a car can do. My son is 6'3รƒยขรขโ€šยฌร‚ย and he fits in the front seat perfectly. He made sure to program his seat assignment immediately. It's automatically a four wheel drive so there was no slipping on the icy snowy roads. I would recommend this car to someone who's done with carpooling kids and hauling. I don't see a million of them on the rod either which is a bonus. I plan on having this car for the next 10 years at least.

Reliable SUV

This car has very good performance for a 2.0 engine. I was quite surprised. My only disappointment is that Navigation in not a standard item even though it has a large screen. I love the adaptive cruise control.

A sport sedan that happens to be an SUV

We drove every possible option in the segment, from the xt4, X3,x5, RDX, Volvo xc's, Stelvio, Levante, the GLC and -E, and probably a few more that I don't remember. we wanted something a little bit sportier, neither my wife nor I enjoy driving soft wallowy cars. We ended up with the R sport model. I'll start off with the negative- The interior isn't as soft or plush as some of the competition. Unless you get one of the higher trims, which we did, the interior can feel a little plastic-y. It's also a little more expensive than some of the competitors, although relative to the cost of the competition it's not a huge difference. Pros- Jaguar somehow managed to get a perfect combination of handling and comfortable ride quality. We have the 20 inch wheels, I understand the larger wheels can be a little bit harsher. I think this will probably out handle most sport sedans on a curvy road (we've owned plenty of sport sedans and sports cars). You have to drive it to understand. It really is different. I really don't know how something with 8"+ of ground clearance can handle so well, it seems to shrink around you as you increase your speed, like a proper sports car should. The only other SUV that had a similar ride and handling quality was the stelvio, but the interior was too compromised, and the tech was not that good. The seats are firm but very comfortable, it was one of the few cars that we both could get comfortable in the passenger and driver seats. The heated and ventilated seats are the most powerful I've ever experienced, and are fantastic and heat up very quickly. There is plenty of room for my son who is 6'2" in the second row behind my wife and I who are 6' and 5'10" respectively. The cargo area is more than sufficient for a week's worth of supplies for four up to our lake house. None of the competitive set, with the exception of the RDX, has this much cargo space. We do have the lower horsepower gas engine, we've never needed anything more than that. We do drive spiritedly, and we've never felt it lacking in power. Around town, I'm averaging about 24 MPG, on the highway right around 27, on the 40 to 55 mph back roads up to our vacation house, we regularly get over 30 mpg. The navigation works very well, and we are very pleased with the technology in the car. the voice recognition is excellent, whether for navigation, tuning the radio, or other adjustments. The meridian audio system isn't the loudest out there but it has a very clear and true sound. I still get regular compliments on the car, even though the model has been out for 3 years now. We are very pleased with this car. Because we do a bit more around town driving then highway driving, I'm almost wishing we had gotten the diesel which is actually a little bit quicker at lower speeds (<40 mph), although slower above 40 mph. If you really enjoy driving, and want a good dose of comfort and luxury, this is probably your best choice. This car still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, and my wife feels the same way also.
