The Good
The 2010 Corvette offers exhilarating performance and impressive reliability. Its striking design appeals emotionally, while its surprisingly comfortable ride and decent fuel efficiency (for a sports car) appeal to practical buyers. It provides a strong value proposition compared to other high-performance vehicles. The roar of the engine and iconic silhouette feed the soul, while the usable trunk space makes it surprisingly practical.
The Bad
Some common weaknesses of the 2010 Corvette include potential issues with the harmonic balancer, particularly on higher-mileage Z06 models. The interior materials, while improved over previous generations, are still not on par with some European competitors. Also, the Active Handling system can sometimes exhibit glitches. Check for any signs of fluid leaks or unusual noises during test drives.

What Problems Does the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Have?
Another common issue involves the Active Handling system. Some owners have reported intermittent failures or glitches within the system. While not always critical, this can be frustrating and potentially affect handling in certain situations.
Roof panel delamination is another reported concern, especially in earlier C6 models. This can affect the appearance and structural integrity of the roof.
Regarding recalls, it's important to check the NHTSA website for any applicable recalls for the specific VIN. While there may not be many recalls specifically for the 2010 model year, it's crucial to verify.
Long-term reliability concerns also include potential wear and tear on suspension components, brake systems, and electrical systems, especially in vehicles with high mileage or track use. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential to mitigate these concerns.
How long will the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Optional features included a head-up display, heated seats, and a power convertible top (on convertibles). Higher trims like the Z06 and ZR1 included performance-oriented features such as upgraded brakes, suspension, and aerodynamic enhancements.
Crash-test ratings from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) for the 2010 Corvette are as follows: The 2010 Corvette coupe received 5 stars for driver-side frontal crash, 4 stars for passenger-side frontal crash, and 5 stars for side crash protection. The convertible received 4 stars in rollover crash tests. IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) did not conduct full crash testing on the 2010 Corvette, but it did get a good rating for rear impact.

How Does the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Compare to Other Convertible?
In terms of features, the Corvette's interior is less luxurious than the Porsche and BMW but offers a decent set of standard equipment. Reliability is generally good for the Corvette, though the Z06 can have specific engine-related issues. Overall, the Corvette provides a strong performance-to-price ratio.
Alternatives to the Corvette include the Porsche Cayman, which offers a more balanced and refined driving experience, and the Dodge Viper (if looking for raw power), though the Viper lacks the Corvette's practicality. The Nissan 370Z provides a similar fun factor at a much lower price, though it lacks the Corvette's overall performance.

This is a beast!I have a red 2010 Grand Sport 4LT Heritage Edition w/Chrome Wheels and manual transmission, and the full leather ebony & dark titanium interior, so this is indeed a rare car. It was love at first sight. The power it has is absolutely brutal! Rides good for a sports car, and shifts nicely with a light hydraulically assisted clutch. It gets lots of stares and thumbs up eveywhere I go. Although it's my second Corvette, this one is absolutely on a much higher level. The exhaust tone is musical.

Great car, great performance, problem freeI own a 2010 grand sport, black int. black ext. chrome wheels. I have a manual transmission and it is truly a great sports car. I have owned 65 fastback a firebird but the vette is on another level. I daily drive it to my restaurant which normally is the high point of my day, forget about all your worries on the way home. Nothing major to repair just do regular up keep as with anything mechanical and it will last. Do be aware of parking with the low front end it is easy to damage and not cheap to fix. Great on gas, comfortable ride and I like the interior of the car, it is a sports car. If you want a luxury car then buy a luxury car.

Amazing rideThis is the third Corvette I’ve owned, and the first Grand Sport. It is an amazing car in nearly every way. Driving it is like sitting on top of a lion!

Everyone should own a Corvette during their life. The Corvette has to be one of the world's great performance car values. Great road/cruising car with a comfortable infinitely adjustable driving position, smooth ride, quiet with a top notch sound system. My very particular wife enjoyed trips in the Vette. Performance is astounding, both incredible acceleration and handling. Just a joy!

Great sports car with lots of powerThe ride in this sports car is very comfortable even for long distance driving and has beautiful styling. Also highway gas mileage is excellent for a car with kind of power.

Most performance oriented car I?ve ownedPower out the Wazoo! Handles like a dream on the highway, power when and where you want it. Excellent styling, gets double takes from almost everyone. The C7 interior is such an improvement over the C6 it makes me wonder why I didn?t buy one earlier.
