What Problems Does the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Have?
Other reported issues include problems with the tires pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors. Additionally, some owners have noted issues with the interior trim pieces coming loose or wearing prematurely. Check the driver's seat bolster for wear.
While the LS2 engine is generally reliable, regular maintenance is key. The Z06, with its LS7 engine, can be prone to valve guide wear issues, though this is more of a long-term concern and often manifests at higher mileage. Check for excessive oil consumption on Z06 models.
Regarding recalls, check the NHTSA website for any outstanding recalls affecting the specific vehicle identification number (VIN). Staying on top of scheduled maintenance is crucial for long-term reliability.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were limited compared to modern vehicles. It had standard antilock brakes (ABS) and traction control. Stability control (StabiliTrak) was also standard, enhancing handling in slippery conditions. The Z06 benefited from enhanced performance traction management.
Safety features included front airbags and side airbags. The Corvette does not offer modern driver-assistance systems like blind-spot monitoring or lane departure warning.
As for crash-test ratings, the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) gave the 2007 Corvette Coupe a 5-star rating for driver-side frontal crash protection and a 4-star rating for passenger-side frontal crash protection. Side crash protection was not rated. The convertible models have slightly different structural elements that may affect testing results.
Overall, the 2007 Corvette's tech reflects the era. It lacks advanced driver aids but provides essential safety features. The availability of navigation and a premium sound system were nice upgrades for those seeking a more modern in-car experience.

2007 Chevrolet Corvette Prices and Market Value
Depreciation has been significant, but Corvettes tend to hold their value relatively well compared to other sports cars. Factors affecting resale value include mileage, overall condition, maintenance records, trim level (Z06 commands a premium), and any modifications made to the car. Low-mileage examples with original parts tend to sell for higher prices.

How Does the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Compare to Other Coupe?
Reliability-wise, the Corvette is generally considered fairly reliable, but may have some specific issues as noted earlier. The Porsche 911 is known for its strong reliability. The BMW M6 can be more costly to maintain.
In terms of features, the Corvette offered a good balance, but its interior wasn't as upscale as the Porsche or BMW.
Alternatives to consider include the later C6 Corvettes (2008-2013) for updated features, or a used Porsche 911 if budget allows for superior handling and refinement. A Nissan 370Z might be considered for a less expensive, but still sporty, option. For raw performance per dollar, the Corvette is hard to beat.

I got my 2007 C-6, in Atomic Orange, in 2020.I got my 2007 C-6, in Atomic Orange, in 2020. I found out about it from my sister’s youngest son’s girlfriend, who also was my oldest grandson’s pre-school teacher. Her mom was the executor of her cousin’s estate and had moved the car from her cousin’s home to her farm. Yes, it was actually sitting in a barn with a dead battery and covered in dust and pigeon droppings. The interior looked brand new. This was because after putting a new battery in, I saw that this 13 year old beast had only 6300 miles on it! The owner, who had passed away in 2018, had traded her 1992 C-4 in on the ‘07, drove it a few times and parked it because having double the HP scared her to drive it. Long story short, I saw it, drove it, fell in love with it and got it for a song! Took it home and immediately gave it a bath, using a foam cannon and microfiber mitt of course. Four years later, I’ve put another 7K miles on it and I have no plans of parting with it anytime soon! The only drawback is the interior, which is pretty much the cheapest looking interior styling that resembles an old Chevette. Chevy gave the C-7 a complete overhaul of the interior design in 2014. However, the outside looks great, the handling is superb and the 6.0 LS-2 has gobs of HP and torque. Awesome find after being retired for a couple years and living the dream!

Excellent CorvetteI've owned 1969,1982,1991, and currently 2004 Corvette. Hands down the 2004 is the BEST corvette I have ever owned. I have 33,000 miles on it and it still runs great and everything works as it should.

Corvettes Rock.I bought this 2007 Lemans blue convertible from a fellow in Roslindale, MA 2 years ago. I waited all my life to own one and after literally years of research for the perfect one, I found it. It was worth the wait. This car is such heaven to drive and pure fun, fun, fun. It has 43000 miles and looks like it just came out of a showroom new. It turns heads wherever I go. I love it.

Great, once you read the owners manual.I bought this car, a black C6 Corvette coupe with the removable hard top, primarily for its exterior styling and looks. It caused me some problems in the beginning, I got it in 2010 with 17,000 miles on the odometer and now, 10 years later it sits at 29,000. When you purchase a Vette its alot like getting married. Its for better or worse. It has a mind of its own pretty much. It locked me in it 2 times and I had to call AAA to help me get out. I had a key made to get in the back hatch and learned there was a cable in the cargo compartment you can pull and it will open the drivers door. But its very scary. Sometimes it won't let me in, even with a new fob battery. I still don't know why. It locked itself in park one time and I had to get a mechanic out to tear the console apart and fix it. Then the push button start pushed all the way into the dash and I had to have it repaired. Remember this. If you aren't prepared to put quite a bit of money out to fix these unexpected problems, don't buy one. Several times I came very close to selling it but like a wife, you're willing to go the extra mile to make the relationship work. And when I drive it with the top out on a gorgeous summer day,bit makes it all worthwhile. I also get noticed ALOT. Hope this helps you decide. All in all. I'd recommend it but only if you have alot of money and patience.

Most iconic and reliable car I’ve ever had. This car is a awesome car to drive. It has lots of leg room and very smooth ride for a Corvette. The Black on Black looks great . I would definitely consider buying another.

Exceptional value for this type of performance!!!I've owned this car for about a year now and I have NO regrets! Although it is 13 years old, it is still king of the road! The exterior design is FLAWLESS and I get TONS of compliments. Gas mileage is IMPECCABLE especially for a 6 litre, V8! The targa top is an added bonus. Interior is simple. Lacks high quality woods, metals and fibers but these things aren't necessary. If you're considering this vehicle, STOP! GRAB 1 before they're all gone!!!
