The Good
The 2021 Nissan Murano excels in comfort and design, offering a premium feel without the luxury price tag. Its smooth ride and spacious interior appeal to emotional buyers seeking a pleasant driving experience. Practical buyers appreciate its V6 performance, decent fuel efficiency, and Nissan's generally good reliability track record, making it a solid value proposition.
The Bad
The 2021 Nissan Murano's continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a potential concern for some buyers, as CVTs have faced reliability issues in the past, though Nissan has made improvements. Its handling isn't as sporty as some rivals, and the infotainment system, while functional, isn't the most modern. Additionally, some may find the styling too polarizing.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2021 Nissan Murano Have?
Reviewing the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for recalls specific to the 2021 Murano is recommended to check for any safety-related issues. Older Murano models (prior to 2021) had some reports of issues with the fuel level sensor, but this doesn't appear to be a widespread problem in the 2021 model year. Potential buyers should check service records and consider a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic to identify any existing or potential problems before purchasing a used 2021 Murano. While not rampant, it's prudent to be aware of these potential weaknesses.
How long will the 2021 Nissan Murano last?

How Does the 2021 Nissan Murano Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
Alternatives to consider include: the Honda Passport for its more robust performance and slightly better reliability; the Ford Edge for its sporty handling and available turbocharged engines; and the Hyundai Santa Fe for its value and generous warranty. The Chevrolet Blazer offers a more aggressive styling, but may not be as comfortable as the Murano. If reliability is a top priority, the Honda Passport or Hyundai Santa Fe might be better choices. If sporty handling is desired, the Ford Edge is a strong contender. The Murano excels in providing a comfortable, stylish, and well-equipped experience at a reasonable price point.

Wonderful VehicleMy second Murano and still having an excellent owner experience. Easy and comfortable to drive with a suspension that is both comfortable and well handling with the 20 inch tires. The electronic safety equipment works very well and now I wouldn’t want to be without it. Overall a wonderful and utilitarian vehicle that’s well built and comfortable.

Uncomfortable seats. The most uncomfortable vehicle I have driven and or been the passanger in. I am a 60 yr old male at 220 puonds and 5ft 10 inches. Drove a 2023 600miles. And 200miles in the back seat. It was torture. If I was 28yrs old and 5foot 6. It might have been a better experience.

I love my 2021 Nissan MuranoThe 2021 Nissan Murano that I just purchased is beyond excellent. I can't say enough how I appreciate and enjoy this car, from the looks, performance, and cost. It surpasses all my expectations and I'm happy to have this car. The salesman, Ian Simmonds was top notch. From when I first entered the building he greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. He went over all the details of the car I wanted and he went above and beyond to make this experience, fast, easy, and me leaving as a satisfied customer. I would highly recommend Car Shop when making your next car purchase.

Don’t choose leather seatsOnly Issue I have it’s friction between leathers seats and middle console. Avoid leather seats, Dealers can’t do much with this issue to be fixed. Other on that it’s a great vehicle.

Beautiful 2021 Nissan MuranoI've driven Nissan for several years already. This 2021 Murano has the beautiful look to it. The only issue was a strut on both sides that went out, but the warranty covered it all. Total reliable vehicle for the fam!

Perfect SUVI owned a 2016,2018,2021 platinum. It is outstanding. Wonderfully comfortable, handles like a dream, not one thing ever went wrong. The updated GPS in 2021 is great, showing exit ramp with actual sign. 2021 was the SL gray with black wheels AWD-love it. Every time I get behind the wheel the shine never wears off. Buying my third one says it all. The safety equipment, ride and appearance sold me. I finally feel like I own something in this world that is flawless. Gives me endless driving pleasure. On long trips the seats are very comfortable. Under 10 mph all four wheels get power, then computer takes over. Next car will probably be another one fully equipped. Love music and this one delivers!

Comfortable for passengersFirst Time owner of the 2021 murrano. My only issue for the AWD is the brake pedal you can hear it inside loud everytime it goes in 4wheel downhill or a slight downhill bump overall very satisfied with it brakes needed to be replace within a year of having it.Very confortable for passenger and the seats in the back can be fold back for an extremely confortable ride and take a good nap without nagging constantly .Great performance when pressing the gas pedal.Extremely satisfied.

Poor engine warnings âš ï¸ to avoid engine overheatinThis SUV engine does not give any warning if you have a coolant leak. I am paying for a full engine because I had a coolant leak. The engine overheated and burned while I was driving to the dealership to check the engine. No engine warning visible.
