The Good
The 2018 Nissan Murano offers a comfortable and refined driving experience. Performance is adequate for daily driving. Its sleek design appeals to emotional buyers, while its comfortable ride, decent fuel efficiency, and generally good reliability attract practical buyers. The Murano provides a good balance of style and functionality at a competitive price point. It is considered a good value.
The Bad
Some common weaknesses of the 2018 Nissan Murano include its continuously variable transmission (CVT), which can sometimes exhibit issues. The infotainment system, while functional, can feel dated compared to rivals. Handling isn't particularly sporty. Ensure the CVT has been properly maintained. Check for any transmission slipping or unusual noises during a test drive. Some owners have reported issues with the electronics.

How Does the 2018 Nissan Murano Compare to Other Wagon?
Price-wise, the Murano is often competitively priced, sometimes offering better value than the Jeep Grand Cherokee. If reliability is a top priority, the Honda Passport or Hyundai Santa Fe are potentially better alternatives. The Ford Edge offers a sportier driving experience. The Kia Sorento is also a consideration, with available third-row seating. If you prioritize a stylish and comfortable ride and are diligent about CVT maintenance, the Murano is still a viable option. Otherwise, explore the reliability track record of the other alternatives.

I purchased my 2018 Murano brand new.I purchased my 2018 Murano brand new. It is still the wonderful machine it was upon purchase. Very little maintenance required outside of the standard. I love everything about it. Visibility can be tricky with the interior design on the driver's side when rounding a corner, it is hard to see what might be coming your way. Otherwise, my Murano (this is my second one) is a reliable gem to own. I LOVE NISSAN CARS!

Visibility issues over hoodSeeing over the hood is difficult and on left and right the way its designed. I have been up on curbs more than not. Unless, redesigned would not buy again. The navigation screen is hard to see.

great car for the moneyCompare it to the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, Hyundai Sante Fe, and others. I think you will be impressed. Does everything well. Very comfortable, fuel efficient, and peppy. Has a straight Nissan V-6 that has been there best engine for many years.
