How Does the 2014 Nissan Murano Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
Price-wise, the Murano is generally competitive in the used market. However, given reliability concerns, potential buyers might consider the Toyota Venza or Hyundai Santa Fe as more reliable alternatives. The Ford Edge offers a more engaging driving experience, if that is a priority.

Our transmission when @ 240000km.Our transmission when @ 240000km. We spent $12000 to have it replaced just to have it destroy its self in another 36000km. I understand itβs older and has a lot of km but 15 months and 36000km is an unreasonable expectation of a life span for a transmission. Nissan has done nothing but give me the runaround and to spout that it is out of warranty. A 12 month 20000km warranty on a new transmission is absolutely unacceptable.

The worst transmissionOnly after 3months since I bought this car from the carmax, the transmission is broken down. It costs 7000$ to replace it. New transmission is back order now, so you can't even find it even though you are willing to pay 7000$.

Classy, Roomy and Comfortable MuranoThis car has all the bells and whistles I wanted. Leather, sunroof, backup camera, heated seats, etc. A pleasure to drive. The only negative is that I wish it got better gas mileage. It is a V6, so I opted for power over mileage.

NICE TO DRIVE EASY TO HANDLEI've never had an issue with my 2014 Murano SV except for the battery cables that come loose at the most unreliable times. Otherwise, I love the features, but I hate the front wheel drive. It's not reliable in wet or icy weather.

Weird electrical quirk.I have owned this vehicle for nearly 3 years. It's great for what I need to do - with high ground clearance and plenty of cargo space. But it has a weird electrical quirk. The radio volume jumps around on its own; and it sometimes doesn't respond to the volume knob initially. And very occasionally, the front windows will roll down together on their own when I turn off the car.
