What Problems Does the 2011 Nissan Murano Have?
Recalls for the 2011 Nissan Murano have addressed issues like potential fuel leakage due to faulty fuel pressure sensors and problems with the anti-lock braking system (ABS). It's important to check the vehicle's VIN against the NHTSA database to ensure all applicable recalls have been addressed.
Long-term reliability concerns are primarily related to the CVT and its durability over time. Premature wear of suspension components and issues with the air conditioning system have also been noted. Regular maintenance, including fluid changes for the CVT, is crucial for maximizing the lifespan of the vehicle, although some failures appear to be unavoidable.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features include standard antilock brakes, stability control, traction control, front-seat side airbags, and full-length side curtain airbags. How Does the 2011 Nissan Murano Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
In terms of performance, the Murano's V6 is adequate, but the CVT can feel less responsive than traditional automatics. Features are comparable across the segment, with most offering similar tech and comfort options. However, the Murano's reliability is a potential drawback compared to Toyota and Honda. For similar alternatives with potentially better reliability, consider the Toyota Venza or Honda CR-V. The Ford Edge is a strong contender if driving dynamics are prioritized over fuel economy.

I bought my 2011 murano in 2023.I bought my 2011 murano in 2023. It has 134,000 miles on her. I replaced a/c compressor and alternator. About 800 dollars in total. Normal for a car that's older. But other than that smooth ride inside is comfy. Lots of extras. Paint is a,little sensitive. But very reliable.

Best crossover for the money.I love my Murano SL. Going to keep it til the wheels fall off. I love the fact that it has all the amenities in it like dual sunroof, pushbutton ignition, Bose stereo surround sound, satellite radio, heated seats, Memory seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear mirrors, dual/auto heat/ac, pushbutton/remote cargo door, Push button/remote door handles from the outside, back up camera, You can auto roll the windows down from your remote key fob on a hot sunny day, auto lock, Home link, Auto dimmer rear view mirror, Bluetooth for phone calls, auto headlights, fog lights, dual exhaust, interior Mood lights, USB ports, 18 inch rims, 3.5 L, 260 hp., AWD, and so much more that Im sure I missed. It rides so smooth and has great pick up on a dime with no hesitation. I just love the power it has and itβs so comfortable, good on gas and I really love the design of this crossover except for the butt end of the car. The only drawback is I canβt Bluetooth music from my phone except only my call contacts and it blows automatic AC when defrosting your front windshield, but thatβs nothing compared to what comes in this vehicle. When I read about all the amenities on this vehicle and seen pictures of how stylish it looked, I fell in love and had to have it. My gut instinct steered me right. I never had any issues with it as long as you maintain it. Where else are you gonna find a vehicle like this with bang for your buck?

Transmission went out at 111,000 milesTransmission went out at 111,000. My husband remembers test driving another Nissan before we bought this one that he thought the transmission was going by the sound. Never thought this would happen to a newer one. Not happy customer.

LEMON!!!!!!!I Purchased my 2011 Nissan Murano in September of last year. Since that time the TRANSMISSION AND MOTOR HAVE BOTH BEEN REPLACED!!! The front axel shaft has been replaced last week. I drove it for 3 days and was almost KILLED ON THE FREEWAY!!!!THE CAR COMPLETELY LOST POWER AND SHUT DOWN IN THE FAST LANE OF THE I-10 FREEWAY IN CALIFORNIA. THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP!!!!! COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE AND UNSAFE. NISSAN HAS HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF LAWSUITS AGAINST THEM FOR THIS REASON, BUT WILL NOT REMOVE THESE CARS FROM THE STREETS. I GUESS MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT TO THEM THE PEOPLES LIVES AND SAFTEY

Good value, got what you paid for.First import ever bought, it is very plain with the basic electric functionalities, nice transmission good sprint on acceleration but the uphill is not crisp. I like the storage compartments on the cargo area, also the seats are comfortable. I just found annoying that a click came after the dealer changed the air filter and we can't pinpoint it. The paint is very fragile feels like a eggshell of a hardboiled egg; hard but easy to crack. The radio is the basic I suppose and it is just that -a radio- and I feel afraid to raise the volume, no radio station info as all radios have now. It serves the purpose for a daily driver with a small family.
