The Good
The 2015 M-Class offers strong performance, especially in the higher trims, and renowned Mercedes-Benz comfort. Its design exudes sophistication. For practical buyers, it boasts a spacious interior and available all-wheel drive. Emotional buyers appreciate the prestige of the brand and the thrill of the powerful engine options. Reliability is generally good with proper maintenance.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2015 M-Class include higher maintenance costs compared to non-luxury SUVs. Some owners have reported issues with the air suspension system and electronic components. What Problems Does the 2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Have?
Recalls for the 2015 M-Class have addressed issues such as potential fuel filter flange leaks, which could increase the risk of a fire. Owners should verify that all applicable recall repairs have been performed. Long-term reliability concerns often focus on the longevity of the turbochargers in the ML400, ML550, and ML63 AMG models, as well as the potential for increased maintenance needs as the vehicle ages. Some owners have reported issues with the transfer case. Regular maintenance, including timely oil changes and fluid checks, is crucial to mitigating these risks. Specifically, checking for coolant leaks and addressing them promptly is advised to avoid more significant engine problems down the line.
How long will the 2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class last?
Weaknesses over time often include the aforementioned air suspension problems, potential for increased oil consumption, and wear and tear on interior components. Models with forced induction (turbochargers) may require more specialized attention. Proper care can significantly extend the vehicle's lifespan.

How Does the 2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
Features-wise, the M-Class was competitive, but some rivals offered more advanced tech at the time. Regarding price, the Lexus RX and Acura MDX were typically more affordable. A similar or potentially better alternative could be the Lexus RX for buyers prioritizing reliability and lower ownership costs. For those seeking a sportier driving experience, the BMW X5 would be a better choice, though potentially at the cost of higher maintenance. The Acura MDX presents a strong value proposition with a spacious interior and many features.

Second year driving this car (Bluetec) Constant puttingSecond year driving this car (Bluetec) Constant putting me into limp mode due to EGR valve issue. I absolutely regret the day I bought this and if I could light it up knowing I canβt loose on it, I would do it. Very slow in city and feels very heavy. Tailgate wonβt open automatically anymore amongst several things like driver sun visor broken, middle console opener broken. Absolute garbage do not recommend this for anyone, they discontinued this because of all the issue they had with this engine, they even had a lawsuit against Mercedes about the emission.
Colorado ML350 4matic on January 22, 2023
Best SUV ever madeI first learned about the ML350 4matic from a best friend who purchased one back in 2009. He had returned from Iraq and bought one used his first day back in the U.S. He still has that car and it has 325K miles on it and it's running great still. That completely sold me on their reliability (at least for the gasoline engine, not the bluetec diesal). I've met several other ML owners who've experienced the exact same thing with their cars well over 200K and running strong. It's like an inside secret that they're one of the most durable SUV's ever made. Besides being extremely reliable (haven't had even a single issue go wrong), this car is a complete joy to drive everywhere (highway/city) in ANY kind of weather. I live in Denver and travel up to our mountains regularly, and this handles ice, snow, DEEP snow like it was nothing. It makes driving on icy snow-packed roads actually fun due to the confidence it inspires with it's AWD. In short, this is truly one of the best SUVs ever made by ANY manufacturer, and I've driven them all. I can't give it enough praise as it just does everything exceptionally well.

I'd buy it againWe looked for a smaller replacement for our 2000 Navigator (16 years and 234,000 miles) and finally chose a 2015 ML350. This is by far the best car we've owned in our 60+ years of existence. COmfortable, decent mileage, all the bells & whistles we need and the perfect size. Quick to freeway speed, cruises well at 80. Not looking to replace this one for a while. One caveat - maintenance is not cheap.

Great Vehicle Until You Hit 50k MilesWe purchased the ML250 Blutec new from the dealer and really enjoyed the vehicle until recently. For the first 50k miles, we had zero issues. The car drove well, had great gas mileage, and surprising power for a 4 cylinder diesel. However, at 50,050 miles (seriously!) on a road trip we started getting AdBlue warnings that we only had "6 starts until vehicle shutdown". We took it to a dealer and our AdBlue sensor had to be replaced. Since we were so close to warranty period, the dealer only charged us $250 to do this. It would have been well over $1,000 normally. The car did great for the next year or so and we thought it was just fluke issue. Then around 65k miles, the vehicle started getting very loud around 50 mph. It continued to get progressively louder and we had the dealership check it out at our 70k service. They informed us that the rear differential had to be replaced and it would cost us over $5000! So we have had 2 major failures between 50k and 70k miles. Now we are left with a difficult decision. Pay to fix the current issue and cross our fingers that we don't have another major failure soon, or cut our losses now. I definitely would not recommend a Mercedes SUV based on our experience to date.

Great value!Previously owned an ML and wanted another one. It was hard to find because they stopped making that model in 2015! It was well worth the wait.

Perfect for my familyOur family was expanding and we needed more space to tote the baby. Loved the color and the entertainment package to help calm the baby while driving. Very comfortable with plenty of legroom. Lots of trunk space.

A fabulous Mercedes in tip-top shape! The ML350 is a mid-size SUV with all the comforts one would expect of Mercedes. The upgrades make it an exceptional value for its price. This particular unit has Navigation, rear (and 360-degree) cameras, back up sensors and a whole lot more including a tow hitch!
