The Good
The 2011 M-Class offers a comfortable and luxurious ride, appealing to the emotional desire for prestige. Practically, it provides a spacious interior, available all-wheel drive for added security, and reasonable performance. While not the most efficient, it offers a balance of power and fuel economy. The design exudes sophistication.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2011 M-Class include higher maintenance costs compared to non-luxury SUVs. Watch out for potential air suspension issues (if equipped), oil leaks, and electronic glitches. Some owners have reported issues with the transfer case and certain sensors. Thorough pre-purchase inspection is crucial.

How Does the 2011 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle MPV?
Reliability is where the M-Class falls slightly behind the Lexus RX and Acura MDX. The X5 can also be prone to expensive repairs. In terms of price, the M-Class sits in the middle of the pack, with the Lexus RX often being slightly more affordable on the used market.
Alternatives to the 2011 M-Class include: If reliability is a top priority, the Lexus RX is a better choice. If a sportier driving experience is desired, the BMW X5 is a good alternative. For a balance of value and features, the Acura MDX is worth considering. The Audi Q7 is a good choice if a usable third row is a priority.

For a 2011 with 256,000 miles on it I can't complain. For a 2011 with 256,000 miles on it I can't complain. Only paid $3,800. Yes I had to put new suspension on front and back. Before I bought it they replaced the spark plugs, power steering pump, and the oil cooler seals. It runs great. It's still not perfect. It has a few minor glitches. Intermittent check engine light for catalytic if it inefficiency but not a big deal since where I live you don't have to have emissions check. Also when it's cold it tends to rev a little bit too high before shifting into second gear, but then it quickly normalizes. Shifts very smooth and has a lot of power... but it's an older car with a lot of miles so it's not something you'd want to give to a 16 year old. Has a small oil leak and I think I'll replace the water pump. But for a V8 I'm getting about 17 miles per gallon on the open highway which is pretty good.

The Most Comfortable & Reliable Vehicle I've OwnedThe heigth of the car is perfect for getting in and out. Seats are truly comfortable for short or long rides. Leg room, front and back. Good visual, and best blind side alert ever. I traded a 2008 Ford for this and my insurance went DOWN with it's safety record. Best car I have ever owned!

Best Car That I've Ever OwnedI was devastated when my 2007 ML 350 was totaled in an accident early this year, but I was determined to find another one. I finally did at a Mercedes dealership in the San Francisco area and was thrilled when I test drove it. The price was extremely reasonable . It's a luxury and utility vehicle in one. I drove it home that night.

Beautiful & reliable. The Mercedes ML350 is one of the most beautiful, luxurious and reliable vehicles I have ever owned. I trust the ML350 in all driving situations; from a sunroof open drive in my beloved mountains to the most dangerous snow and ice conditions in those very same mountains.

Very Reliable Towing VehicleThis car is a solid workhorse, towing 7,200 lbs. in a compact, muscular SUV format. People could not believe this SUV could tow our ultralight trailer and were amazed at its maneuverability. We just upgraded to a higher towing capacity SUV in anticipation of later upgrading our 5,000 lb. trailer to a heavier one. We purchased this car from CarMax in Milwaukee and have been very satisfied with its consistent performance.

Stay away if you value your moneyI'v had this SUV for over 2 years and it's been nothing but a money pit.2011 ML350 bluetec diesel. harshest ride of any suv i'v had. especially with the run flat tires because it only comes with those and trust me you don't want to buy them new they will break your bank account. it's been at the shop for more times than i can count . first issue was leaking fuel and my mecanic had to pretty change of the fuel hoses to find which one was leaking. aftwer several weeks and several stacks dollars spend finally fixed that. then rear axle/wheel bearing went out and the car only had 80k on it. get a $2000 minivan you'd be glad you did over this piece of garbage.
