The Good
The 2012 Charger excels in performance with its potent engine options. Its bold design appeals emotionally, while its spacious interior offers comfort and practicality. While not the most efficient, it provides decent value for its size and power. Reliability can be average, but regular maintenance helps. These advantages appeal to both enthusiasts and families seeking a powerful and stylish sedan.
The Bad
Some 2012 Chargers have been reported to have issues with the electrical system, including the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Suspension components and the cooling system should be inspected for potential problems. Fuel economy, especially with the larger engines, can be a weakness. Early models had some fit and finish issues reported. Watch out for these areas when considering a purchase.

How Does the 2012 Dodge Charger Compare to Other Passenger Sedan?
In terms of features, the Charger offered a decent range, but some rivals provided more advanced technology. For similar alternatives, consider the Chrysler 300 for a more refined experience or the Ford Taurus SHO for a blend of performance and technology. The Hyundai Genesis (though slightly smaller) also offered a compelling alternative with a more luxurious interior and strong reliability. For those prioritizing fuel efficiency, the Toyota Avalon might be a better option, although it lacks the Charger's performance. The Charger remains a strong choice for those seeking a powerful and stylish full-size sedan, but buyers should weigh its reliability and fuel economy against those of its rivals.

I love this car so much!I am so excited that I own a car that has been a dream of mine! No matter how much gas it will take, it is SO worth it. This is my first time buying a car and I did it with my boyfriend and so far, we are loving it!

Fun to drive w/unique, fully loaded interiorDriving should be a joy - it is in this car. Sharp exterior w/fully loaded interior that stands out - beats system with subwoofer in trunk. Hemi/all the power you need. Hemi engines are heavy so new struts, control arms and rotors recently installed in the front - ready for another 100K miles.

Great first carThis car definitely met all my needs and has done an outstanding job taking care of me, perfect car for people over 6'3 because I'm a bigger person and couldn't have made a better choice than this car.

Classic designThe second car that I've owned. I bought it the first year that it came out and was thrilled to be apart of the culture. I love the casual american muscle style. My first modification was to the decal, side trimmings, and the audio system. Second, I changed some of the bulbs so that they shined brighter. Last, was the performance system. The final package has been great and the HP and acceleration is amazing. I love the morning, daytime, and night time ride. The car is a real head turner despite dodges new offerings.

This car is fun to drive with AWD and 380 hpThe car has never let me down ever. I have taken care of it and the car shows it. It's fun to drive and looks great! Only weakness was the audio system but I upgraded speakers and a wood we the trunk. Sounds awesome now along with better exhaust so you know you have a HEMI
