The Good
The 2019 Toyota Sienna excels in reliability and offers a comfortable ride, making it a practical choice. Its spaciousness and available all-wheel drive provide peace of mind for families. While not the most stylish, its dependability appeals to those seeking long-term value and trouble-free ownership. The powerful V6 engine provides confident performance.
The Bad
The 2019 Toyota Sienna's weaknesses include a somewhat dated interior design and less engaging driving dynamics compared to some rivals. The fuel economy isn't class-leading. Watch out for potential sliding door issues, although these are not widespread. The infotainment system can also feel a bit clunky compared to newer systems.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2019 Toyota Sienna Have?
Another area of concern, although less frequent, involves the infotainment system. Some users find the system slow to respond or complain about its dated interface. There have been reports of occasional glitches or connectivity issues, but these are typically minor.
Recalls for the 2019 Sienna have been relatively limited. It's always advisable to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for the most up-to-date recall information.
Long-term reliability is generally a strong point for the Sienna. However, like any vehicle, proper maintenance is crucial. Regular oil changes, tire rotations, and timely servicing of brakes and other components are essential to ensure longevity. Some owners have reported minor issues with the air conditioning system over time, particularly in hotter climates. Overall, the 2019 Sienna holds a good reputation for reliability, but potential buyers should still perform a thorough inspection and review the vehicle's maintenance history.
How long will the 2019 Toyota Sienna last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features are bundled in Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P), which includes pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and dynamic radar cruise control. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on higher trims.
Optional features include parking sensors, a sunroof, and keyless entry.
In terms of safety, the 2019 Toyota Sienna performs well. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) awarded it a 5-star overall safety rating. The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) gave it good ratings in most crash tests, although the small overlap front test received a lower rating depending on the specific test. The IIHS also recognized it as a Top Safety Pick depending on the configuration and options chosen.

How Does the 2019 Toyota Sienna Compare to Other 7passenger FWD?
Performance-wise, the Sienna's V6 is competitive, though the Odyssey can feel slightly quicker. Feature-wise, the Sienna can lag behind in higher-tech offerings compared to the newer Pacifica and Odyssey. However, its available all-wheel drive is a unique selling point.
If reliability is paramount, the Sienna is a strong choice. If you prioritize driving dynamics and the latest tech, the Honda Odyssey is a compelling alternative. If you're looking for the best value, the Kia Sedona should be considered. The Chrysler Pacifica offers a more modern design and available hybrid option, but its reliability record is less consistent. All depend on individual priorities and budget.

reliableThis car is both beautiful and dependable. What do I like about this car? It is roomy. Easy to enter and exit. Heated seats. Great storage areas for driver and passenger. Especially nice storage for groceries and cargo that drops down into the car at the rear door. Excellent visibility. Easy to enter and exit, low to the ground. A smooth ride, and good on gas. Exceleration is very good.

From Sienna to SiennaI had a very reliable Toyota Sienna 2004, but with mileage 220,000 on it. I enjoyed it so much that I decided when I was ready for a new one, it would be another Sienna. I purchased a 2019 Toyota Sienna and still am learning about all the bells and whistles. Has great safety features (back up camera), lots of space (8seats) and is comfortable both to drive and ride in.

Everything is great, except the original tires. The service department told me that my new 2019 vehicle I bought in 2019, which has barely 24,000 miles, is in need of new tires. I asked how that could be since the tires should be rated for 50k, and I haven't even reached 1/2 the life of the tires. I was told that I could get prorated discount from Firestone, if I replace with the same tires. With the prorated discount, I would still have to pay about $450 for the tires. That's an epic fail of quality guarantee from Firestone, and my trust of the service guarantee of the dealership. I will be reporting this issue to BBB for deceptive product quality guarantee.

Fantastic CarGas Mileage is crap but the new hybrid is unbearable so I went with this a 2019 Sienna XSE (luxury sports edition). The sports edition had better exterior styling and the luxury is premium interior. Lighted cup holders, leather seats and leather covered dash. Was very disappointed the car did not come with navigation or keyless entry, had a few dings, and dealer did not move at all on the price.

Reliable and roomyThis is the 2 nd Sienna we have owned. The interior is roomy and very comfortable . We travel cross country and have never had an issue with the Siennas that we have owned. After driving this car, our daughter and her husband purchased the same model in Texas!

Most comfortable Van I have ever owned!Nice design, rides is like a Limo or probably better. More accessories to offer than Honda Odyssey: 2 USB ports in 2nd row and third row. Shades on windows 2nd & 3rd window. More cup holders and compartments in front than Odyssey.

This van fits the BillThis is just the van we need to transport my husband's new mobility scooter. The requirements were very specific and this vehicle meets every one. Thanks to Lakeland Chrysler Dodge, we were even able to buy just the color we were shopping for. It offers comfort and safety.

We're now on our second AWD SiennaPretty good vehicle. Interior features are good, build quality is good, and AWD is a must for me, so Sienna is pretty much the only option. This thing never gets stuck, slips or stumbles getting up my steep curved driveway in snow/ice and the leather interior is exactly what we need to stand up to filthy kids after ball games.
