The Good
The 2015 Volvo XC60 offers a blend of performance and practicality. Its comfortable ride and upscale interior appeal to emotional buyers, while its strong safety record, reliability, and fuel efficiency attract practical buyers. The Scandinavian design provides a unique aesthetic, and the value proposition is compelling compared to some rivals.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2015 Volvo XC60 include its infotainment system, which can feel dated compared to newer systems. Some owners have reported issues with electronic components. The turning radius isn't the best. High repair costs, typical of European vehicles, should also be considered when looking at long-term ownership.

What Problems Does the 2015 Volvo XC60 Have?
Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the complexity of the vehicle's electronics and the potential for costly repairs. We bought this 2015 xc 60 with 100km.We bought this 2015 xc 60 with 100km. Nice looking vehicle and handles fine. Maintenace nightmare. Had to replace the alternator. $1,900. Had to remove the intake manifold to accomplish that. Now the blower motor needs replacing and we have a quote $2,000. Have to remove the dash to install a blower motor. 20 years of Volvo loyalty has come to an end.

Great Car! We love it. 130k miles and counting.Love our gently used 2015 Volvo XC60 T6 Turbo wagon. 130k miles on it and we have only had to replace the alternator and battery. Does not burn oil, does not leak oil. Has been a very reliable car. If you do the maintenance and change the oil every 5 thousand miles it will last a long time. Regular oil changes are very important as with any car. Most people don’t do this. The 6 cylinder is one the best engines they have made. Timing chain will last a long time as long as you put new clean oil in the engine every 5k miles. No transmission problems and no differential problems for us. No one likes to spend $2,000 for the 90k service but it’s a big one. Important preventative maintenance will take this car to 200,000 miles. Read the owners manual and follow the service schedule.

Engine failure in your futureI bought this car used just a few months ago and I am having to sell it at a loss. It literally looked brand new and drives just fine. I am a car guy and have owned over 40 cars. I would say this car is OK over all but does not do anything exceptionally well. The dash layout is confusing and my wife just can’t sort it out. The ride and brakes are not inspiring. The thing that absolutely makes this car a total gamble for ownership is the oil consumption issue. Obviously the reason the previous owner sold it. The add oil light came on a few weeks of ownership and having to add a quart every couple of tanks. I now know this is a well documented problem. In their effort to squeeze every mpg out of this engine they installed too soft piston rings to reduce friction and in the process have made it a ticking time bomb. They were doing engine rebuilds under warranty only. This situation leads to all kinds of expensive failures. Do not purchase a used xc60. You have been warned. This company is no longer Swedish owned but Chinese. Do your research!!!!!!!!!

2015 XC60 T6 R-Design with polestar updatePurchased 2015 Volvo XC60 T6 R-Design two years ago with 34000 miles. Now almost 60000. I don’t have any problem with the car so far. It’s very comfortable with combination of T6 engine and polestar update is pleasure to drive . There only two things I don’t like . MPG and When raining and open the window water go in .

Love my Volvo SUVThis is my second XC60. I totaled my first in a rear end accident. The car I hit looked terrible. My airbag deployed, but my car actually looked fine and drove fin, but the cost of repair was too high with the airbag. I ended up finding this model with added a few nice extra safety features to the 2013 I had. The car is comfortable with plenty of luggage space for a mid size SUV. The turbo 6 really makes the car scoot, and the AWD system is hardy I've take it for mild off road driving (well, my last 2103 I did at least) and it handles well.

Last Volvo we will ever buyWe bought this car used with 32k miles two years ago. It now has 55k miles. We’ve had nothing but problems. It burns through a quart of oil every week. We’ve had to replace the starter, and it just broke down on a road trip. We’ve owned two other Volvos and our last one went to 244k miles, barely any problems. Volvo should recall these cars and replace engines. Do your research on the oil consumption issue before you buy. It’s a huge problem. And they’re under a recall for seatbelt safety. What happened to Volvo reliability and safety? They should be ashamed.

Worst Volvo I Ever Owned Since 1986Volvo XC60 2015 - purchased new. Window problems, resulting in a control panel replacement 2020. Two acceleration problems in 2017. Windows have been sticky since purchased. Rain leaks in when window is barely open when wiper fluid is used and rain flows in even during light rain. Washer fluid barely lasts. Car had 63,000 miles and always seems to have some problem or another.

Love the safety featuresWe purchased this car for our 16-year-old daughter. It has amazing safety features. I can set my mind at ease to know she is driving such a safe vehicle.

Excellent vehicle. My 2nd one. T6 and R designReally enjoy the car. Owned a 2010 T6 which was safe and fast and attractive. Wanted the sport seats and the adaptive cruise control for trips so purchased 2015.5 R design. Both look good. Like the updated look on the 15.5 better. Sports seats and adaptive cruise control on the 15. Both safe and fast. Both reliable in my experiences. Softer ride on the 2010 T6. R design ride gives more road feel good and bad. Non metallic paint seemed better on the 2010. Leather quality better on the 15.5. Gas mileage mediocre on both. As speed increases mpg decreases. Like the 3.0 6 cylinder better than the four. Transmission seemed very busy and engine seemed to work hard in the new 4 cylinder so I chose the 15.5 with the 6.
