For what it's worth, I'm writing this review of our 2007 Honda Odyssey LX in 2020 for anyone interested in buying a used van of this generation. It had 14K miles when we bought it in January 2009 and still has less than 58K on the odometer in 2020. We are child-free by choice and we are NOT the usual minivan owners. This is our third vehicle and serves us for Hauling Stuff and Road Trips. Unanticipated extra maintenance costs have been due to its low annual mileage, including brake service based on corrosion issues. It's reliable, comfortable, and spacious with only the two front seats and a home-built carpeted plywood load floor in the back. FWD Luxury Cargo Van FTW! I only wish it had the OEM fog lights that came with higher trim levels. The OEM audio system is marginal but I still haven't spent the time to upgrade it due to how rarely I drive it. $300-$400 for a new head unit and four new speakers (cost assuming self-installation) would be well worth it. But if you're buying a vehicle like this in 2020 with a lot more miles on it, I'm guessing you probably don't care about the audio quality 🙠BTW, I will drag race any vehicle. I belong to a car club that rents an IHRA-sanctioned drag strip once every year. Our 2007 Ody VTEC-V6 ran a 16.38 E.T. some years ago 😉

We really wanted to love the Odyssey. The constant problems with this one has convinced us that Honda's reliability reputation has nothing to do with this van. Bought it with 120,000 miles and thought we would be fine cause "it's a Honda." Everyone kept saying that, It's a Honda so you will be fine. Horrible mistake. A/C stopped working just two weeks after we bought this van. Compressor just went out. Fuel pump started leaking excessively. (covered under recall) Glove box lock broke and the glove box fell open one day. Has leaked oil since we bought it. Had that fixed three times. Still leaks. Spent close to $1,300 to fix oil leaks. Alternator went out. Three batteries in three years, the second two were high end batteries. Starter went out. Two of the three catalytic converters were bad when we bought it triggering a check engine light a week after we bought it. Steering controls and horn just went out one day. Power doors close, sometimes. Had them serviced and lubed. They worked for about 6 months before they started stalling again. It has an electrical problem that when the temperature drops below 20 degrees the battery dies completely. I've tried turning off the radio, heater, heated seats, power doors, lights, interior lights, unplugged phone chargers, to see if that would stop it. Nothing works. If it gets cold, I have to jumpstart it the next morning. Dealer has no idea what is causing that. All of this in just the first 18 months and about 15,000 miles. Sad to say my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee was more reliable than this garbage bin. (drove it to 151,000 miles) I'm completely turned off to ever buying another Honda. Drive what you love cause after this experience I'm convinced that every make has it's lemons.

I bought this van used. My mechanic, a 30 year veteran, did pre-purchase inspections on six Odysseys before we found a well maintained one with 60K. I was happy with the van for the first few months, and then....problem after problem: a blown power steering line, overheating caused by a faulty Honda fuse, a bad power steering pump, and a leaking power steering rack (at 64K?!). I called Honda USA about the leaking power steering rack and asked them for what is known in the business as "Goodwill". They were arrogant, refused, and could care less about repeat customers. I will never buy another Honda. The power steering pump was recalled by Honda a month after I bought it, and three months after the new pump was installed the power steering rack started leaking. The power steering rack seal leak is a common problem in Odysseys - and is a $1700 repair. The defective pump Honda recalled could a have let air into the system damaging the rack. The Odyssey is a badly designed vehicle. They've just issued a recall on the vehicle stability system. Like many Odyssey 3.5 liter engines, if I use less than 93 octane gas, there is terrible lifter rattle during high torque load, low rpm, acceleration. DO NOT BUY AN ODYSSEY, they have all kinds of hidden problems, buy a Toyota or a Nissan minivan, Consumer Reports rates their reliability well above the Odyssey. Don't buy into the Honda reliability myth. My 1999 328i had less problems in fourteen years than the Odyssey has had in one and a half years. I'm stuck with it for now. What's going to go next?

Great family vehicleLove the heated front seats. Do not like access to rear seats past seats at doors. Has great pick up. Drives thru anything. Quiet. Great sound system. Cools and Heats entire van. Large windshield must have sunscreen or summers heat blisters interior.. A/C works great

Never ever again!!!Don't ever buy one used! Notorious for trans problems from 190K on up- and they are horrible when the trans really gets bad. Leaks oil everywhere, doors don't properly open close on the sides wether auto or manual! I am so disappointed on how crappy this van is and I will never own another Honda product! The higher the mileage the more $$$$$ this will cost in repairs! When it shifts- it scares you bad and the tires even chirp! Cost to replace can be $4,000-5,000 easily! This one is TITANIC because it's a sinking ship!!!' $4600 of sheer junk on wheels!!!

Worst car I have ever purchasedHorrible car will never buy another Honda EVER. Lasted 2 months after purchase from a Vandergriff Honda. Like throwing money out the window. This van was for my daughter and grandchildren now we are out the money and no vehicle.

Best car I have ever owned by farNever had any issue ever, runs great, huge room inside to transport people or things, rides very nice, modest freeway noise. Only critique is no phone hookup. Love my minivan!

Great Family Car, Runs Great, Highly ReliableThis minivan has all you need for a family vehicle. Selling vehicle now as we have kids in college so no longer need a vehicle this size.

Honor it's my carI purchased a used 2007 Honda odyssey with a lot of options and under 18kmiles. I'm and big-boned, with two younger children that require car seats. There is still some room behind

Reliable Family MinivanNeed to haul 5 or more adults or children to school, work, vacation, soccer, football, softball etc. then this is the vehicle for you. Store the equipment, pile kids in, drive, park, open the doors and out they go to do their thing. Honda minivan is what you need. Enjoy.

HONDA ODYSSEY - BEST MINIVAN THERE ISBEST CAR WE'VE EVER OWNED. Honda is very thoughtful in layout, features, design, capacity, power, instrumentation, etc. Honda thought of it all. If our kids were still small/young, I'd buy another Odyssey.

Great Car2007 Honda EX-L, Leather, Tow Package, DVD Player, Navigation Recently replaced Water Pump, Timing Belt, Rotors, Brakes and Tires. Looks and runs great. Original owner. 149,000 miles And can make it another 100,000+ miles.
