How Does the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Compare to Other Wagon?
In terms of price, the Santa Fe often undercuts its rivals, making it a strong value proposition. However, potential reliability concerns should be considered. If reliability is a top priority, the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V might be better alternatives, despite being slightly more expensive. If a sportier driving experience is desired, the Ford Escape is a good option. The Mazda CX-5 also offers a good balance of performance, features, and reliability. Ultimately, the best choice depends on individual needs and priorities.

Do not buy - money pit!Where to begin? In 2019 I bought a 2014 Santa Fe XL with 58k miles. One year later I had to buy an ac compressor ($1400). Okay, it happens. One year after that the sway bar went bad and other ($1000). 2 months ago the transmission coupler went bad, ($1200). Now, the dreaded engine oil burn. No warning lights, nothing. Engine began clicking/knocking. Took it to mechanic immediately. “You're out of oil and the engine is trashed. Estimate is $16k for a used engine.†What?! Apparently this is a known issue with Hyundai. So bad in fact there is a class-action lawsuit. The vehicle? Ended up at auction taking a huge loss. Don't walk away from this vehicle…RUN!

The best car everI bought my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T in November of 2017. This is the best car I have ever owned. I live in snowy New England and with studded snows this car will go anywhere. It has plenty of room to fit my family and all the baby gear I need to haul around. It currently has 95,000 miles and the only thing I have replace besides general maintenance is the rear oxygen sensor. The only complaints I have are the paint is chipping on the hood and roof, and backup camera doesn't work after replacing it twice. Otherwise this vehicle has been worth every penny. The gas mileage is good for an SUV and the cabin is very comfortable. I plan to keep this car for as long as I can because I'm not sure any other vehicle will compare. I previously had a 2008 Jeep Compass that was the worst. When I need another vehicle I will be looking for another Santa Fe.

Beware of the issues with ACI have had 4 Santa Fe (2 were Limited) and all 4 have had AC issues and have cost a lot to correct the problem. Also the ABS sensors are not reliable on the 2 Limited. I am not happy with these issues and will think hard beforenI but another one!

Owner of 2014 santa fe sport 2014 modelIt has exceeded my exoectation with power and speed, im always late by nature so I push it and it loves the push snd speed...but the recalls are a pain. I have to take it in, have been recommended to keep out of the garage( (causing frequent washing etc) due to recalls. I want a palisade next. But plan on keeping my Santa fe forever, allowing my children to get the full. Use I did out of these well made vehicle s.

Not a happy Hyundai. Bought 2 used within a month.I bought a 2014 & 2017 Santa Fes. Just informed by the dealer that the 2014 that I bought 3 weeks ago the engine may be seized up. My wife's 2017 no problems. I'm still under warranty on the 2014, but the 2018 is almost out.
