The Good
The 2015 GL-Class delivers a smooth and powerful driving experience. It provides exceptional comfort with a luxurious interior and a spacious cabin. The elegant design exudes prestige, appealing to emotional buyers. For practical buyers, it offers impressive cargo space, seating for seven, and available diesel efficiency, along with solid performance.

How Does the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle Vehicle?
In terms of performance, the GL63 AMG outshines many competitors. However, its fuel economy is the worst in its class. For features, the GL-Class offers a competitive suite of technology and safety options.
The Acura MDX is a similar but more reliable and affordable alternative if maximum reliability and lower running costs are priorities, but it lacks the GL's outright luxury and prestige. The BMW X5 is another option, offering similar performance and features, but potentially with slightly better handling and a more modern interior. However, the X5's third-row seat is much smaller. Overall, the GL-Class balances luxury, performance, and practicality, though reliability and maintenance costs are areas where rivals may offer an advantage.

There is witchcraft and voodoo in that there SUVThe 2015 GL550 turbo is off the rails. Push the sport mode button and some kind of witchcraft happens. It is a fast, comfortable brute that puts many 2023 SUVs to shame. Highway, no problem, B roads, no problem, snow, no problem, heavy rain, no problem. It does it all. Mine was 110K new. I picked mine up used for 40 with 35K on the clock. I use mine like an SUV. We hunt, fish, and put the dogs in the back. It does it all. Do not take your Merc to the dealer. Some folks specialize in Merc and will do your routine maintenance for thousands less. Yes, thousands less. Some of which you can do yourself. I'm on a Mercedes forum. Folks help you with countless features. The Germans know what they are doing.

SUV to replace my S550 S-Class sedanOwned a newer 2014 S-Class, but we could never get two golf bags in the trunk. It was a beautiful and lots of technology but needed more cargo volume. Bought a 2015 GL450 pre-owned from the local Mercedes dealership. The newer GLS is more expensive and feels less solidly built and tons of electronics that can go wrong. Overall, I am happy with the comfort and utility of this SUV. We took it on a couple road trips in its first year. I have distronic plus radar cruise control and didn't know that it also helps automatically stop to avoid a collision. Some crazy driver stopped in the middle of a highway trying to get into a left lane and I would have rear ended them if I didn't have the radar with the active brake assist. The comand navigation screen is smaller than on the newer ones and the night time backup view is too dark. I've had some glitchy performance with the Comand system, but it's a 7 year old SUV, but it's somewhat to be expected. Overall, great SUV to live with for at least the next 5-10 years before everything goes electric.

7th Mercedes I've Owned and the NicestPerfect car for us. I've owned 6 other Mercedes over the years and this one is the nicest. Bought it for my wife after she's driven Volvos exclusively for the past 25 years. This was a certified pre-owned and in immaculate condition with low miles. Only downside whatsoever the the placement of the hand holds when getting in the car. Personally I would have placed them more forward for ease of getting in.

Most Reliable carThis car met all my needs. Most reliable car. It is solidly built, quiet, and smooth. The ride is like a Rangerover and it handles almost like a sedan. It's just the right size, has very comfortable seats.

a SAFE, amazing performance, extended warrantyI loved this car but downsizing, great room and comfort, amazing road performance and power. SAFEST car I’ve ever owned. Has all the extras and has a great look exterior and interior!! New brakes, tires, and 2 sets of interior mats, roof rack and Thule cargo!

I guess I got the lemon.it is comfortable and joy to drive when it is working well but unfortunately in my case, it is not very reliable. Since the warranty run out there is always something bad happening. The coils (there is 8 of them) started to go. Safety sensors went out. The latest problem is my heating steering wheel giving electric shocks and smokes.

Beautiful and a great luxuryThis car went beyond my expectations. It is beautiful and the drive feels like your on a cloud. Great family car with lots of room!! Many extras that were standard and the options were very innovative. Some features like heated and cooling cup holders are an amazement. It is very forward thinking and they work great. If you are thinking of getting a luxury vehicle, this is the one. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent Luxury Ride and Huge Cargo Space...Couldn't ask for a safer car. Tells you when a car is in your blind spot or you shouldn't change lanes. The gas mileage is remarkable for this large of a vehicle 16-22 miles per gallon. Love all the push button ease to drop back seats etc.
