Great for family and pet ownersI was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

Subaru Forester, take a long test drive to decideMechanically reliable. Decent gas mileage. Headrests block line of vision. Sideview mirrors can be difficult to adjust. The most uncomfortable seats of any automobile I have ever owned. Lots of cabin noise both city and highway driving.

Great car for grandmother to take grandkids aroun!I needed a car for my lengthy visits with my young grandkids and this car is perfect! I felt more comfortable buying a 7 year old Subaru than I would another used car. It’s easy to put the car seats in and there is plenty of room for everyone!

Most reliable car I’ve ownedThis car has been very reliable comfortable and built well for safety purpose I would definitely own another one The only problem I’ve experienced is that it burns oil a few miles short of an oil change

Driver Side door panel inhibits left leg movementI just couldn't go on long trips. Too much pain and cramps in my left leg from junk on the door panel which inhibited lateral movement. CVT transmission hung in low gears in cold weather resulting in poor gas mileage

Well worth the money.A great investment. Purchased the car for my wife. Found it at a great price with plenty of accessories. Wife loves it. Not as much Umph as she’d like but it’s not a sports car.

what's that noisehad the car less than 24 hours it is making a rubbing noise that it did not make during the test drive. Asked the dealership where I bought to have someone take a look at it, they said I would have to come back another day.

To early to tellI just purchased this car, I used to have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I wasn’t totally sure if I wanted to switch brand but I’m glad I did. I like this new ride but it’s still too early to tell if I’ll like it long term

too bad they don't make the Forester 2 XT any moreThis car does everything I need. The turbocharged engine works well with the CVT and paddle shifters. X Mode for mud and snow. Room for us and large dog. Decent handling. Comfortable for long trips. 80,000 miles so far and I expect 200,000
