How Does the 2018 Volkswagen Passat Compare to Other Sedan?
In terms of features, the Passat is generally competitive, though some rivals may offer more advanced infotainment systems. Price-wise, the Passat is usually similar to or slightly less expensive than the Camry and Accord. For those prioritizing reliability above all else, the Camry or Accord might be better choices. For drivers seeking a sportier experience, the Mazda 6 is a strong contender. However, if spaciousness and comfort are paramount, and you can find a well-maintained Passat at a good price, it remains a solid option. The Ford Fusion is a similar alternative to consider.

Bought it brand new.Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

The car 8s 9k but I hit a hard bump in the road .THERE IS A REAR SCREW MISSING ON THE OIL FILTER HOUSING . IT MAKE THE OIL SPRAY FROM THE ENGINE. THIS IS FROM THE MANUFACTURER . It's a default and needs to be corrected immediately.

Decent Quality, Some ImperfectionsThe car was bumped when being pulled out of the dealership and there was a dent on the back bumper as a result. The interior had colored pencil and other marks inside, and there was a small tear in the backseat leather. There is an issue with the EPC where a sudden stop, or jolt of the vehicle will cause the EPC light to go on and the car will start to drive funny. When driving conditions are stable and it is reset by turning the car off, that isnβt a problem. Though I may just take it in to the dealership to have them fix any and everything wrong.

VW 2018 Passat SE w TechnologyMy wife and I are very pleased with our choice of the 2018 VW Passat SE. The value received with nice interior and exterior features is excellent. I wish could find and afford the V6 version, but the gas mileage with the 2.0 Turbo is really nice.
Dale on March 14, 2021
I just brought it and I absolutely love the car.It has everything I wanted in car. Its best attributes is it's gas mileage. Over 500 miles from a tank with normal driving not all highway mileage.

Only get this if it an amazing dealThis car stock has way to much body roll. The driver seat is ok as long as your not in it for mor then an hour.and itβs slow compared to other vehicles with the 2.0t tsi engine. The head lights arenβt very good. And the depreciation Iβm 8k upside down if I trade in

Excellent commuterBought new R-Line with lighting kit. Plenty of interior space, great mileage and huge rear seat and trunk. Fold down rear seats can easily accommodate large items. At 25K miles still fun to drive, handles well, not too fast off the line but happily will cruise at 80 while still giving great mileage. Big plus was the 6 yr/72K mile warranty - no worries for years! VW wised up in 20 and lowered the warranty so if in the used market, an 18/19 offers great comfort and zero repair worries.

Comfortable and well engineeredThe car gets great gas mileage, has plenty of room and good power. It handles good and in a comfortable ride. The headlights are brighter than usual and thatβs really nice.
