The Good
The 2018 Sentra excels in reliability and fuel efficiency, appealing to practical buyers seeking long-term value. Its comfortable ride and spacious interior are also pluses. While not a performance leader, the SR Turbo offers a touch of sporty flair, providing a mild emotional appeal with its slightly more aggressive styling and added power.
The Bad
The 2018 Sentra's weaknesses include its somewhat uninspired handling and engine performance in the base models. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) can be a point of concern for some, requiring regular maintenance. The interior materials, while functional, may not feel as premium as some competitors. Infotainment system could also be improved.

What Problems Does the 2018 Nissan Sentra Have?
It's essential to check for any outstanding recalls on the specific vehicle. Recalls may address issues related to the airbags, braking system, or other safety-related components. While the 2018 model year doesn't have a significant number of unique or severe issues compared to other years, maintaining service records is crucial to detect if any issues have arisen from the CVT, particularly for higher mileage examples. Thorough pre-purchase inspection is also highly recommended.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features include available blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control is also available on some trims.
In terms of safety, the 2018 Sentra received generally good crash-test ratings from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). Ratings can vary slightly depending on the specific test and model year changes, so it's best to consult the official NHTSA and IIHS websites for the most accurate and up-to-date information. While the infotainment system isn't the most cutting-edge, it's functional and provides the necessary features for most drivers.

How Does the 2018 Nissan Sentra Compare to Other Sedan?
Alternatives to consider include the Honda Civic for its superior driving dynamics and the Toyota Corolla for its exceptional reliability. The Mazda3 offers a more premium feel and engaging driving experience. The Hyundai Elantra provides a strong value proposition with a generous warranty. If prioritizing reliability above all else, the Corolla is a strong contender. If looking for a more engaging driving experience, the Civic or Mazda3 are better choices. The Elantra can be a good alternative if budget is a major concern and you want more modern features than the Sentra might offer.

Nissans are safe and comfy.Had 2021 sr. car was rear ended and, if not for car, I would be dead. All those safety measures took hold, air bags, belts. Couldn't find another like it. Settled for 2018 SV.

I'm Happy With My CarI'm happy with my car. I like how it handles even better than my previous 2003 Nissan Sentra! ๐ I also got a good price deal from the dealer and service when the car needed servicing

Everything that shines ISN'T GOLD!My review is based upon reviews I've read From others owning the Nissan Sentra. I've found it to be frightening & am very upset by the many negative things that I've discovered about this car. My over all thoughts Are, " I fell for this car the very moment I laid eyes on it, as far as exterior wise, but it's basically one of the cars that needs to go back on the assembly lines, and never should have ever been allowed to leave!! I'm a 66 yr ole Sr & can't afford to be taken advantage of, No one should be! The manufacturer should be held Liable for the many bad operating features of This car! Let each consumer be persuaded by doing their Own research for specifics!!!. It's there in blk & white, the manufacturer doesn't want to acknowledge & do The Repairs!!! Greedy & selfish Is what I see !

The Worst Brand New Car EVER Purchased!Car 3 yrs old this month, purchase new. Yr 1 all outlets malfunctioning, yr 2 inside lights donโt work, shift box doesnโt work, Year 3 Horn doesnโt work without killing the battery and was told I have a bad airbag sensor; how does that happen. I finally accept the fact that I bought a lemon. My second Nissan and the brand new one has been trouble. Manufacturer of Nissan advises me this is normal and there is nothing they can do. I will take the loss but will never buy another Nissan all because of the way their Brand handled this situation.
