How Does the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Compare to Other Truck?
The F-150, particularly, offered a wider range of engine options and a strong reputation for reliability. The Silverado/Sierra twins provided a more traditional truck feel and generally solid dependability.
Alternatives to consider would be a 2009 or newer Ford F-150 or a 2009 or newer Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra if reliability is a top priority. These rivals may offer a more robust ownership experience over the long term. However, if a comfortable ride and a bold design are key factors, the Ram remains a compelling option, provided a thorough pre-purchase inspection is conducted.

Extremely reliable truck, 200k now, all goodI bought this truck used in 2014, with 79k on it. I saw all previous service records, and the person that owned it, took good care of it. I have kept up on care and maintaining the truck, keep it washed through the winter, and it has treated me very well. It has the 5.7 Hemi, 4x4 crewcab. I average about 19 to 20 on the highway and about 13 around the city. I pull a camper and car trailer with it, and it does very well with both. The only thing I did to improve towing, was add a set of airbags inside the rear coils, that did make a big difference. I have 200k on it now, and still a nice comfortable and tight truck.

The most reliable and beautiful vehicle I have ownThis vehicle was great, comfortable, quick throttle response, and reliable. Never had any problems out of this truck the power is always there and it feels great while delivering that power.

Worst piece of crap I ever owned!Burns more gas than a tank and more oil than you can buy in a day. Hemi blew up with less than 20,000 miles. In the shop for two months while dodge put on a couple bandaides. Still a piece of crap!!
