What Problems Does the 2022 Nissan Rogue Have?

While the 2022 Nissan Rogue is generally considered reliable, some frequently reported problems include concerns about the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Some owners have reported experiencing shuddering or hesitation during acceleration. It's crucial to follow the recommended maintenance schedule for the CVT to mitigate potential issues. Early model years of the Rogue (prior to the redesign) had more significant CVT problems, which Nissan addressed in later iterations, but some concerns persist with the newer CVT as well. Some owners have also reported minor electrical issues, such as infotainment system glitches or sensor malfunctions. Recalls related to the 2022 Rogue have been issued for various safety concerns, including potential issues with the automatic emergency braking system and seat belt assemblies. Checking the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for the most up-to-date recall information is highly recommended. Long-term reliability hinges on proper maintenance. Pay close attention to the CVT, electrical systems, and any unusual noises or vibrations.

How long will the 2022 Nissan Rogue last?

With regular maintenance, a 2022 Nissan Rogue can reasonably be expected to last for 150,000-200,000 miles or 10-13 years. Long-term durability depends heavily on consistent maintenance, especially regarding the CVT. Potential weaknesses over time primarily involve the CVT, which may require replacement around the 120,000-mile mark if not properly maintained. Other areas to monitor include suspension components and potential rust in regions with heavy road salt usage. Regular fluid changes and addressing minor issues promptly will significantly extend the vehicle's lifespan.

I love this car except…, the exhaust or engine noise at 2500 to 3500 rpm. The other item that surprised me was the horn sound like a cheap little kiddie car. For $39000, I think they could have a decent horn in it. I sold Nissans for 18 years, this is the best Rogue they have produced yet. I would highly recommend this vehicle

We previously had a Rogue, then went to a Frontier. After my husband decided that he needed a car again vs. a truck we went back and found a Rogue Premium Package was perfect for us. It was very smooth riding and had all the extras we wanted. I would recommend the Rogue to anyone who is looking for a reliable SUV.

After trading in my 2016 Rogue SV premium package, I purchased the 2022 SL premium package Rogue. I have EVERYTHING I’ve ever dreamed of in a car. Heated leather seats, panoramic moonroof, Bose speakers, 202 horsepower with turbo, the cameras on it are neat, and remote start both from the fob and from the app on my phone to name just a few things I love about it. This car definitely has some xxx to it. When I step on the gas, the car MOVES! Especially in “race mode”. If there is any downside, it would be that initially I wasn’t a big fan of what the front of it looked like, but I think I’m past it now…looks nice in black and the lights look pretty cool at night.

Came with a whistling noise. When asked to diagnose, the answer was "that's normal" (they provided a paper confirmation that Nissan produces cars with embedded noise). The Nissan consumer service agreed with that. Could not even imagine that anyone can make a car with a default noise coming from transmission, that's a new achievement by Nissan! The car consumes much more fuel, than advertised, I do not know, how it is possible to cheat that much in adds, the average is 21, that is terrible. At the same time acceleration is poor. The cargo space is not that large as described (a couple of inches would solve the issue but seems that no one took care to test the car before production. The only good thing is that blind spot monitor comes with the basic models. Kia and other model are definitely a better option. Compared to it CR-v is a high end luxury model.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?

The 2022 Nissan Rogue is equipped with a range of tech, entertainment, driver-assistance, and safety features. Standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Higher trims offer a larger 9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display. For entertainment, available options include a premium Bose audio system.

Driver-assistance features, bundled under Nissan Safety Shield 360, are standard and include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and high beam assist. Optional features like ProPILOT Assist add adaptive cruise control and lane centering for semi-autonomous driving.

The 2022 Rogue received excellent crash-test ratings from both the NHTSA and IIHS. The IIHS awarded it a "Top Safety Pick+" designation. These ratings reflect the vehicle's strong performance in various crash tests and the effectiveness of its safety technologies.

Not you moms Rogue. Only the name is the same

Fantastic new engine and smooth new CVT. Interior of the platinum with the tan interior is just stunning. Excellent fuel mileage as well. As I said, nothing like the last Rogue.

Nissan Rouge is a Winner!!

Great styling, handling and lots of engine power. Fuel economy is well above average. Lots of interior room and good space for back seat riders. Lots of space in the cargo section for carrying groceries, luggage and other items. Comfortable seating all around.
