The Good
The 2008 Toyota Corolla excels in reliability and fuel efficiency (appealing to practical buyers). Performance is adequate for daily driving. While not luxurious, it offers a comfortable ride. The Corolla's simple design and affordable price contribute to its excellent value. Owners appreciate its low maintenance and dependable reputation, fostering a sense of security.

How Does the 2008 Toyota Corolla Compare to Other Sedan?
If performance is a priority, the Mazda3 is a better alternative. If interior space is crucial, the Nissan Sentra might be preferable. However, for overall reliability and low running costs, the Corolla and Civic are excellent choices. The Honda Civic offers similar reliability and fuel efficiency to the Corolla but can often command a slightly higher price in the used market. For buyers prioritizing long-term dependability and affordability, the 2008 Toyota Corolla remains a strong contender. Consider the Honda Civic for a similar experience or the Mazda3 for a sportier feel.

The Most Reliable Vehicle I Have Ever Owned.I have owned my 2008 Corolla since it was a year old. It currently has 184,000 miles on it. Other than regular maintenance I have not spent one cent on repairs. The gas mileage is so great I never worry about the price of gas. It is so dependable and reliable it is almost like a good friend.

Reliable and money saverI have had this car for about a year now and wow is it reliable. It is currently at 107k and gets great gas mileage and runs perfectly. The car is also very easy to work on and so I was able to put in a whole new sound system and screen instead of factory stereo all myself for very cheap. I recommend this car 100%

I though this was a good carNew the car was great. But at 180.000 miles it started making engine noizes. The VVTI tenshioner went out causing the timing chain to slap and strech. I replace all of the VVTI components. Use a name brand intake sprocket! It appears the rod bearings are worn. I have spent a lot of time working on this thing. I ran full synthetic oil. The top end sounds noizy still. There may be some cam or cap ware. Is this a toyota?

Economy transportationWe needed a simple and cheap running sedan and Toyota Corolla fit the bill. 4-doors, large trunk, rear seat was tight for 3 adults as the middle seat was uncomfortable

Too small for 6'5+Everything perfect except the interior sizing. Also the fact that the gear shift indicator (4spd Auto) is not on the dashboard Head Down Display, only visible by looking down and at the shift lever. Everything else is perfect about this. Even at 118,000 throttle is snappy and steering responsive.

Rusted Roof Corolla! I am another of the blue rustMaybe it's specific to the dark blue color, but after about 10 years essentially all of them have a very rusted roof. Reliability is ok, and it performs ok as expected. Doing ok at 200k miles, idling can get a little shaky and it can overheat a bit. I expected more than to have such a common, glaring defect in a Toyota.

Car OkayGreat car. 5 speed, fun to drive. My kids say Γ’β¬Εare you taking the sports car today?Γ’β¬Β Lol. Very reliable, and gas mileage is incredible. I donβt even worry about gas prices. Itβs a 2008, but I only have 118Km on it. Only think I had to do was fix the heat shield once. A $40 fix. Otherwise perfect.

Had this car 12 years. Most reliable car everHard to let go of this car because of the reliability. Never had any issues other than regular maintenance. Great gas mileage is a definite plus!

Extremely dependable. Low cost of ownership.Great car. Sold with 190k on it. I know the previous and current owners. Itβs still going strong. Other than maintenance the only thing it was in the shop for was wheel bearings at 130k. Constantly got 33mpg and 29mpg in the winter. I commute 30k a year and have done many multi state road trips in it without worry. Iβd still own it but i needed something that would go through deep snow better.
