The Good
The 2015 Toyota Corolla boasts exceptional reliability and fuel efficiency, appealing to practical buyers. Comfortable seats and a smooth ride enhance the driving experience. While not a performance car, it offers a dependable and affordable option. Its strong resale value is another plus. The redesigned exterior also offers a more modern aesthetic appealing to those seeking style as well as substance.
The Bad
The 2015 Toyota Corolla's engine performance can feel underpowered, especially when accelerating or climbing hills. The interior materials, while durable, might feel a bit basic compared to some competitors. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) can sometimes feel unresponsive. Potential buyers should also check for excessive oil consumption and transmission issues during a pre-purchase inspection.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2015 Toyota Corolla Have?
Recalls for the 2015 Corolla have included issues related to the airbag system (specifically, inflator issues that affect a large number of vehicles across multiple manufacturers) and potential fuel leakage from the evaporative emissions system. It's important to check the vehicle's VIN on the NHTSA website to see if any recalls are outstanding. Long-term reliability concerns primarily revolve around maintaining the CVT transmission with regular fluid changes according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Neglecting this maintenance can lead to premature wear and potential failure. Other potential long-term issues include wear and tear on suspension components and normal aging of rubber seals and hoses.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features are relatively limited compared to newer vehicles. The 2015 Corolla includes standard antilock brakes, stability control, and traction control. Higher trims don't offer modern features like lane departure warning or automatic emergency braking.
In terms of safety, the 2015 Corolla earned good crash-test ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The NHTSA gave it a 5-star overall safety rating. The IIHS awarded it a "Top Safety Pick" designation. Standard safety features include eight airbags, including front, side, and knee airbags. Overall, the 2015 Corolla provides a decent level of safety and basic technology for its time, but lacks the advanced driver-assistance systems found in more recent models.

How Does the 2015 Toyota Corolla Compare to Other Sedan?
In terms of performance, the Mazda3 is generally considered more engaging to drive. The Corolla's engine is adequate but not particularly exciting. Feature-wise, the Elantra and Focus offered more available technology at the time. However, the Corolla's simple and user-friendly tech is easy to live with.
If you prioritize reliability and low running costs above all else, the Corolla or Civic are excellent choices. If you want a more engaging driving experience, the Mazda3 is a better option. If you're looking for a value-packed car with a long warranty, the Elantra is worth considering. Overall, the Corolla is a solid and dependable choice, but depending on your priorities, other alternatives may be a better fit. It is important to consider the specific features and condition of each vehicle when making a decision.

So far so goodI keep hearing about lack of trunk room. My wife just bought one. So the first thing I did when she got home was open the trunk. I was shocked there was plenty of room. My 18 year old son and his 200lb friend jumped in there. It isn't a powerhouse and fuel mileage wasn't as great as I thought. But seems to be a great car. Plenty of room front to back. Side to side seems tight. Averages 31mpg. I have a 2015 jeep grand cherokee that gets 18mpg. So it's an improvement but I was thinking corolla 35 to 40mpg. Leather interior, sunroof. Backup camera for 14k dollars. I thought it was a deal. 51k miles and great on interstate.
