The Good
The 2014 Challenger excels in performance, offering strong engines and a comfortable ride. Its bold, retro design appeals emotionally, while its relatively spacious interior and trunk provide practical benefits. While not the most fuel-efficient, it offers good value for its power and features. Reliability is generally average for its class.
The Bad
The 2014 Challenger's weaknesses include its considerable weight, which impacts handling agility. Fuel economy can be poor, especially with the larger engines. Some owners have reported issues with the electrical system and infotainment system glitches. Visibility can be limited due to the thick roof pillars. Rust can be a concern in northern climates.

What Problems Does the 2014 Dodge Challenger Have?
Recalls for the 2014 Dodge Challenger can be checked on the NHTSA website using the VIN. Potential recalls might address issues related to the fuel system, airbags, or electrical components. Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the longevity of the infotainment system and the potential for rust, especially in regions with harsh winters where salt is used on the roads. Specific model year issues aren't significantly different from the broader issues within this generation, but consistent maintenance and addressing problems promptly are crucial for long-term reliability. Owners should pay attention to regular fluid changes, brake maintenance, and addressing any unusual noises or warning lights as soon as they appear to prevent more significant problems down the road. Some users have noted that the active exhaust system on R/T models can develop issues over time.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features include standard antilock brakes, stability control, and multiple airbags. Optional features include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection on some trims. Crash-test ratings from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) should be checked for specific details. Generally, the Challenger performs well in frontal and side-impact tests, but small overlap frontal crash tests can be a weakness. The Uconnect system, while functional, can feel dated compared to newer systems, but it provides basic entertainment and navigation functionalities. Optional sound systems from Alpine or Harman Kardon offer improved audio quality for audiophiles.

How Does the 2014 Dodge Challenger Compare to Other Coupe?
If handling and agility are priorities, the Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might be better alternatives. For those seeking a more modern interior and technology, looking at newer model years of all three cars would be beneficial. The Chrysler 300, while not a direct competitor, offers a similar blend of comfort and power in a larger sedan format. Ultimately, the best choice depends on individual priorities and preferences, with the Challenger appealing to those who value retro styling, spaciousness, and comfortable cruising.

Worst car everWorst car ever. Has many recalls, car has been in the shop numerous times with different things wrong. Motor went up, all around Roters twice, air conditioner went up first week of purchasing car(warranty doesn't cover air conditioning) car has never been in an accident now back tires need replacement every few months. Did an alignment, car still not right and now today the shop says I have to take it to dealership that's going to cost anywhere from $1,500 to 2,000 to fix. I'm over it!!!!!

Affordable Sports CarCar has less than 100k miles, which was hard to find in my price range. ARC fixed a side skirt for us and also did some touch up work to the front and it looks so much better.
