24 years and still going strong. The only major repair was a replacement of the suspension at 217,000 miles. These were tough miles too.. Mostly Tahoe winter miles. I keep thinking about getting a new car but can't ever find one I love so much.

My 2000 pathfinder is currently at nearly 350,000 miles and running just fine. It's more reliable at 18 years old than many cars just a few years old. I don't think they make them like this anymore, but my experience with this vehicle has sold me on Nissan for the time being, though the new Pathfinders are sadly lacking in appearance from what I can see which is disappointing. Overall this is a great vehicle.

My Nissan Pathfinder was the mos reliable car I have ever owned. It was a beautiful exterior, practical function and sturdy. If my 2000 model had not been totaled by another driver on the road, I would still be driving it (15+ years later). I would recommend a Nissan Pathfinder to anyone and everyone.

Got my 2000 Pathy at 140,000k's in 2021.

Got my 2000 Pathy at 140,000k's in 2021. I replaced the timing belt and water pump for piece of mind and replaced a few front end bushes. I just hit 210,000k's and I haven't needed to replace anything in this period. I service every 5,000k's with Penrite full synthetic 10w40 oil, I replace my air filter and oil filter every service. I have the 3.3 V6 and it is very quick when it needs to be. I do not like that some reviews say the 3.3 is under powered, I'm certain these people have either bought a flogged lemon or never serviced it. Overtaking is a breeze and it rides really nice on the 245/70/16's. My tyres are Toyo open country II's they have minimal road noise and I am yet to get a flat. You can pick one of these cars up for under 5k and an added bonus is the towing capability. I've moved house twice since owning the Pathy and it had no problem pulling a full 13x6ft cage trailer full to the top. Remember to take overdrive off in uphill towing scenarios as it will have a freak out and drop gears back and fourth. You gotta know how to drive one. Mine just so happens to like being driven like a getaway vehicle and I'm more than happy to oblige. I love my car and I will never sell it. When the time comes I'll buy a second one.

Highest mileage vehicle owned yet

My pathfinder has been great is made many trips all over the State of Florida, down to the keys for myself and wifey, we've taken the kids everywhere too, camping, pulled trailer with 4 big quads and 2 small ones... you name it we've done it. Just turned 444,455 I got a picture of it unfortunately I missed all fours LOL

This is a 2000 4x4 Pathfinder LE. Bought new in November, 1999 and it just keeps going. Mostly highway miles to work and back 5 days per week. 32 miles round trip daily. This has towed a boat, a closed metal trailer full of firewood and the family and I take it on vacation annually about 350 miles away. Routine maintenance, brakes, tires, oil changes. Changed out the belts, spark plugs, plug wires and hoses every 50K. 4 speed automatic, just rolled over 270K. Never a problem.... Ever. Everything works. Nothing has tore up in 19 years. 5 years ago I added freon. It has the 3.3 V6/ About 20 mpg highway. Never let me down in the snow. Very comfortably seats 4 with plenty of room for luggage on those vacation trips.

This car was good to have when we really needed it

We were very lucky to have this vehicle when we were in a pickle. It worked out for us when our other vehicle completely broke down.

Most reliable car I ever owned

My 2000 pathfinder is currently at nearly 350,000 miles and running just fine. It's more reliable at 18 years old than many cars just a few years old. I don't think they make them like this anymore, but my experience with this vehicle has sold me on Nissan for the time being, though the new Pathfinders are sadly lacking in appearance from what I can see which is disappointing. Overall this is a great vehicle.

Dont get if owned up north

Sucks if it's been up north in a lot of salt. Everything fell apart. Did alot of repairs and eventually traded it in. Hard pass

Great vehicle! Super reliable!

Will buy another one for another family member, The manual shift on the 4WD is great, no problems like so many of the push button, knob turnings solenoid operated 4wdrives have.

250.000 miles later

Love this car, outside of a catalytic converter and a quick fix throttle issue, it still keeps me from having to get a car note. I've mishandled it a few time ( not having enough coolant), I've been in accidents (being made of actual steel i've had no real damage) and this car still keeps me moving even 17 years later.

Do the regular mant. will run forever. Had this car 15 years never major thing wrong all that time. Great value
