The Good
The 2007 Pathfinder offers decent performance with its V6 engine, appealing to those who need some power. Its truck-based design provides a sense of ruggedness (emotional), while the spacious interior and available third-row seating are practical. It offered a good value proposition when new, balancing capability and affordability, and its solid towing capacity is a plus.
The Bad
The 2007 Pathfinder is known for potential transmission issues, particularly with the automatic transmission. Other reported weaknesses include problems with the cooling system, specifically radiator leaks that can lead to "strawberry milkshake" transmission failure. Also, watch out for potential timing chain issues and rust, especially in regions with harsh winters.

What Problems Does the 2007 Nissan Pathfinder Have?
There have been recalls related to the Pathfinder, including those addressing issues with the fuel level sensor and potential problems with the brake light switch. It's crucial to check the vehicle's VIN for outstanding recalls before purchasing. Other reported problems include issues with the exhaust manifolds cracking, problems with the fuel sending unit causing incorrect fuel level readings, and general electrical issues. Rust, especially in areas with road salt, can also be a significant long-term concern, affecting the frame and body panels. What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features included standard front and side airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and electronic stability control (ESC) on some trims. Optional features included side curtain airbags for enhanced head protection. Crash-test ratings from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) generally showed good performance in frontal and side impact tests, although specific ratings vary by model year and test criteria. The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) ratings should also be checked for a comprehensive safety assessment. Keep in mind that technology and safety standards have advanced considerably since 2007; it lacks modern features like blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and advanced collision avoidance systems.

How Does the 2007 Nissan Pathfinder Compare to Other Minivan?
Alternatives to the 2007 Pathfinder include the Toyota 4Runner (for superior reliability and off-road capability, albeit at a higher price), the Honda Pilot (for better on-road handling and fuel efficiency), and the Ford Explorer (for a more comfortable ride and potentially lower used prices). If reliability is a primary concern, the 4Runner is the better option. If budget is a major constraint, a well-maintained Ford Explorer might be a suitable alternative, but it's essential to carefully inspect it for any mechanical issues before purchasing.

We bought our Nissan Pathfinder from a family friend andWe bought our Nissan Pathfinder from a family friend and it has been nothing but a coat drain on us. We had to replace the engine, a tire literally fell off while my dad was driving down the interstate, we eternally have false warning lights on from sensors that failed, and I'm shocked to see all the positive reviews here. The car is spacious and good for transporting a lot of things, and is good for off road travel, but it's easily the worst car we have ever bought. The gas mileage is also just horrible, we get 17 mpg on the highway.

So far.. So good!We love our new Pathfinder. We bought it in FL on March 7, 2019 for our move to NC because we wanted 4wd and newer. It's been a HUGE blessing so far. SO GOOD! 🙂

Love this carThis is the 2nd Pathfinder I owned, I previously had a 2005. It?s a great car, lots of space and good features. I really like the design and the way it drives. The only thing is that it consumes more gas that other 6 cylinder SUVs

Love the comfort and the stabilityThey should have recalled the closed coolant system and at 140,000 miles and 3 days shy of owning it a year the intake valve is blown and 6 sensors needed replacement. The intake valve is a horrendous thing to fix and very expensive and I'd rather be able to fix it myself, but it has to be done by a specialty shop

Good family vehicleHad it for 11yrs, still plenty of life left in it for another family to use. Kids are grown so downsizing to a car. Overall been a reliable ride for all these years.

Best SUV I have OwnedWe purchased this Pathfinder as a "Beach Travel" vehicle and it has yet to let us down. Currently has 181,000 miles and most of the service I have performed my self as it is easy to work on. Mileage is not the best but it does sit on a truck frame and we have loaded it to the roof and even on top - same mileage. I wish I could find one brand new as the new ones look like every other SUV - nasty.

Realiable , Strong and ComfyHeavy Duty SUV. a bit more gas expense than regular Suv. You may hear the high sound of the offroad SUV. This is normal for its size.

Very Reliable and VersatileVery versatile vehicle. The 4 wheel drive "low lock" feature is a must when your snow plow service is delayed getting to you. I've pulled out of over a foot deep of snow on numerous occasions. This vehicle will get you out of a snow bank easily. Also great to find a parking spot in an urban area after a snowstorm. You can get in and out of deep snowy spots with ease. Seven passenger seating and ALL seats fold down individually Including the very front passenger seat which is fantastic if you need to haul 10 Foot boards from the Home Improvement centers. Towing is a breeze for my Ski Boat. Also, it has a full size spare tire. Second and Third Row seating is a little tighter than some other vehicles in it's class, but still sufficient room for Adults in the second row. I'm 5'10" and can still sit in the Third Row, but the legroom is tight, so I wouldn't want to be back there for a long trip. It's definitely fine for kids and probably most teens would be fine back there. Cup holders are available in all three rows on both sides. Another nice feature is the rear glass opens so you don't have to always open the whole tailgate, which is handy in the rain or if you have longer stuff to haul to let it hang over the tailgate a little.

A Little Disappointed In NissanI purchased this car with 40,000 miles on it. It's not the most comfortable car but it is a 7 passenger and it serves it's purpose. I'm a little dissappointed in Nissan quality control. I had several electrical problems with my cruise control. My gas gauge failed, my brake light switch failed and I currently have an oil leak from my valve cover gasket at 98,000 miles.

Not the greatest on fuel efficiencyIt may not get the great gas mileage but this suv is great in terms of comfort and usability and the bose audio system is outstanding.
