What Problems Does the 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Have?
Oil leaks, particularly from the valve cover gaskets and oil cooler, are another recurring issue. Transmission problems, such as rough shifting or slipping, have been reported in some cases, especially in higher-mileage vehicles. Recalls for the 2009 E-Class have included issues related to fuel leaks and brake system malfunctions; it's important to check the vehicle's VIN for outstanding recall repairs.
Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the aging electrical systems and the potential for expensive repairs to the air suspension. Regular maintenance, including fluid changes and inspections, can help mitigate some of these issues, but the potential for costly repairs should be considered when purchasing a used 2009 E-Class.

How Does the 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Compare to Other Sedan?
The BMW 5 Series offered a sportier driving experience, while the Audi A6 provided a sophisticated interior and available all-wheel drive. The Acura RL, although less prestigious, presented a more value-oriented option with strong reliability. In terms of price, the E-Class was generally competitive. A potentially better alternative, depending on priorities, is the Lexus GS350 for superior reliability. If sportiness is paramount, the BMW 5 Series might be preferred. The Audi A6 offers a compelling blend of luxury and technology.

Very satisfied with the Mercedes E-350I recently purchased my Mercedes E-350 after just falling head over heels for the car. Well I thought I would save money on MPG, but little did I know that the car doesn’t get much better MPG as my Ford F-350 Super Duty dually 4 door long bed pickup and the fuel it takes to run at optimal performance is more expensive by 30-40 cents per gallon over the diesel my truck takes. However, I would not give it up for anything. Very satisfied and will buy again.
