What Problems Does the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Have?
While the 2011 model year didn't have any major widespread recalls, it's always advisable to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for any specific recalls related to your VIN. Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the complexity of the vehicle's systems. The more features and technology, the greater the potential for something to fail. Regularly scheduled maintenance, particularly fluid changes and inspections, is crucial to mitigating these risks. Certain model years within the W212 generation (including 2011) have shown issues with the engine management system and fuel injectors, resulting in poor engine performance or misfires. Diesel models, like the E350 BlueTEC, can experience issues with the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and other emissions control components over time, especially if not driven regularly at highway speeds.

HAD TO HAVE ANOTHERI mistakenly sold my 2012 E350 in 2023 thinking I should upgrade to an SUV. I regretted selling the wagon, though the 2020 MB GLB was a very nice vehicle. So I found a 2011 E350 wagon and couldn't been happier. Maintenance is key, yes. But the leather (not MBTex) wears very well, and the exterior is flawless.

Best Car EverAfter driving the BMW for years this car was by far the best value for my money. It is solidly built, quiet, and smooth. The ride is smooth and it handles almost like a sedan. It's just the right size, has very comfortable seats, and is loaded with technology! If you're looking for a good, solid, luxury car, put this one on your shortlist as a must-have.
