What Problems Does the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Have?
Recalls for the 2015 E-Class have addressed issues such as fuel leaks, potential for engine stalling, and problems with the occupant classification system (OCS). It's crucial to check the NHTSA website for the most up-to-date recall information and ensure any outstanding recalls have been addressed by a Mercedes-Benz dealer.
Long-term reliability can be a concern, particularly with the more complex systems. Regular maintenance, using quality parts, and addressing issues promptly can help mitigate potential problems. Some model years within the W212 generation (of which the 2015 E-Class is a part) have had reports of premature wear of certain engine components, so a thorough pre-purchase inspection is highly recommended, especially on higher-mileage examples. Checking the service history is also essential to understand the car's maintenance record.
How long will the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class last?

Driver-assistance features included standard Collision Prevention Assist, which provides visual and audible warnings to the driver if a potential collision is detected. Optional driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and cross-traffic alert.
Safety features include multiple airbags, antilock brakes, stability control, and traction control. Optional safety features included a rearview camera and parking sensors.
Optional features included a larger 8-inch display for the COMAND system, navigation, a premium Harman Kardon or Bang & Olufsen sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and leather upholstery.
Crash-test ratings for the 2015 E-Class are generally very good. The NHTSA awarded it a 5-star overall safety rating. The IIHS gave it a "Good" rating in most crash tests, earning it a Top Safety Pick+ award when equipped with optional front crash prevention technology. It's essential to verify specific crash-test results for the body style (sedan, coupe, etc.) you are considering, as ratings can vary slightly.

How Does the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Compare to Other Sedan?
Reliability is where the E-Class can sometimes fall short compared to the Lexus GS, which is known for its excellent reliability. The BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 offer a similar blend of performance and features, but can also have comparable maintenance costs. The Cadillac CTS offers a more sporty driving experience, but may not match the E-Class in terms of interior refinement.
In terms of price, the E-Class is generally in line with its German rivals. If reliability is a top priority, the Lexus GS is a strong alternative. If you prefer a sportier driving experience, the BMW 5 Series or Cadillac CTS might be a better fit. The Audi A6 offers a similar blend of luxury and technology to the E-Class. Each option should be carefully considered based on individual needs and preferences. The Genesis G80, while newer, also offers a compelling value proposition with similar features and a lower price point on the used market.

Reliable and efficient (diesel)The worst part is that I can't find anything to replace it. It's incredibly efficient (less than two tanks to do 1200 miles), comfortable, quiet and sufficiently powerful to keep me happy.

Not the quality I expected from a Mercedes...Had a 2005 E500 for years .Was a good solid car .The 2015 E350 is not nearly the quality.Interior already cracking .And car already has small mechanical issues.

Absolutely love driving this carThis car never fails to put a smile on my face. It has more than enough power and feels like a convertible with a very open air cabin... and looks to boot!

An outstanding MercedesMy third E class ( 2003,2010,2015 ) The '03 was really good car, the '10 was good, but I missed the '03. This '15 fits me to a T---smooth ,handsome, drives beautifully. The safety features are just what I want. I could not ask for a better car.

First Mercedes that I've had so much issues withI've made 3 trips within the last month and a half to the dealer to replace engine coils. I previously owned a 2008 C300 182,000 miles and never had any issues with the engine. I'm learning the new engine coils are made of a plastic like material. Poor Mercedes. Just poor!
