What Problems Does the 2003 Honda Accord Have?
Recalls for the 2003 model year included issues related to airbags (as part of the larger Takata airbag recall), and potential fuel leakage caused by faulty fuel pressure regulators. It's crucial to check the vehicle's VIN for any outstanding recalls. Long-term reliability concerns revolve around the transmission, potential oil leaks, and corrosion in specific environments. Regular maintenance, including timely fluid changes and addressing minor issues promptly, can mitigate some of these risks.
How long will the 2003 Honda Accord last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were limited compared to today's standards. Cruise control was available on LX and higher trims. Safety features included standard anti-lock brakes (ABS) on all models, front airbags, and optional side airbags. No advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like lane departure warning or automatic emergency braking were available.
Crash test ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) were generally good. The Accord typically earned high marks for frontal and side impact protection. Specific ratings varied slightly depending on the testing organization. The optional side airbags provided enhanced protection in side-impact collisions. While the technology is dated by modern standards, the 2003 Accord offered a solid foundation of safety features for its era.

2003 Honda Accord Prices and Market Value
The Accord has depreciated significantly over time, as expected for a vehicle of its age. Factors affecting resale value include overall condition, maintenance records, mileage, trim level (V6 models generally command a higher price), and geographic location (demand may vary). Well-maintained examples with lower mileage fetch higher prices, while those with mechanical issues or significant cosmetic damage sell for considerably less.

How Does the 2003 Honda Accord Compare to Other Vehicle?
In terms of reliability and resale value, the Camry was a close competitor. For driving enthusiasts, the Mazda 6 might be a slightly more appealing alternative. The Nissan Altima offered more sporty styling for a similar price, although without the same reputation for longevity. Overall, the Accord held a strong position in its class, offering a balanced combination of performance, features, reliability, and price. The choice ultimately comes down to individual preferences regarding driving dynamics, styling, and brand loyalty.

Final Verdict: Is the 2003 Honda Accord a Good Vehicle?
April on May 6, 2023
Love this car except the windows! LolAmazing car, but the door windows are so large, even the slightest bit of being rolled down blows rear passengers away! Not to mention the back glass causes the rear passengers a bit of a sun burn as well! Also, the clear coat on the car literally disintegrated within a few years, even with proper care. Other than that, the Vtec is a nice feature, power everything is also nice.

Honda Accord CoupeThis car was used but very well taken care of. I usually prefer Hondas and I was extremely excited when I purchased it. It runs great, has low miles and I expect it to last me for a long time.

Great car, nice start, easy acceleration, comfortaIt's a smaller car than I normally drive, but even with its age and the mileage it's a reliable vehicle that rides smoothly. I like that it is a V6.
