345,000 miles and running strong. Original owner since Feb 2005. Only thing I don't like is the wide turning circle! Change oil every 3000 it will last a long time.

I have always loved Nissan Maxima and owned two previous to the 2005 Nissan Maxima. I was so excited to buy the 2005 Nissan Maxima to have nothing but bitter feelings of disappointment. The vehicle has been a money pit since the day of purchase from front suspension to Transmission issues. I don't understand how Nissan wasn't forced to correct the Transmission issues in the 2005 Nissan's. I won't ever purchase another Nissan product or recommend it to another person.

I've had this car for two years now. I bought it used in 2009 and have since put about half of it's value into repairs. It is by far the most unreliable car I have ever owned or seen for that matter. I will NEVER buy another Nissan EVER again. To anyone who is reading this... STAY AWAY. Save yourself thousands of $$ and purchase a more reliable car.

Maxima is power,quality and style!!

I've had my nissan maxima ls for 18 years. Sure I've had to replace and repair under the hood but that comes from the 184000 miles I've driven it.

345,000 miles heading towards 400,000

Nice car till you get up to a 100,000 miles

High maintenance in accessible for timing chain tensioner and guides which will fail transmission are garbage not supported by Nissan because of these issues you will find them plentiful in the junkyard

Runs great!

Powerful engine, great audio equipment, heated seats. Runs great, some wear and tear. Many items have been recently replaced, including battery, shock absorbers, radiator, alternator.

Beware Transmission issues and More

I have always loved Nissan Maxima and owned two previous to the 2005 Nissan Maxima. I was so excited to buy the 2005 Nissan Maxima to have nothing but bitter feelings of disappointment. The vehicle has been a money pit since the day of purchase from front suspension to Transmission issues. I don't understand how Nissan wasn't forced to correct the Transmission issues in the 2005 Nissan's. I won't ever purchase another Nissan product or recommend it to another person.

Badass sedan

I baught used with 110k it was neglected somewhat. The trans had faults for shift solenoids and the timing chain was rattling. I slammed a response shoe in it and changed the trans oil till it was clean. Trans came back to life and this car rips! Heated steering wheel, per fold mirrors, nice stereo, I love this car. It's just more appealing to me than previous cars, even BMW. It doesn't have the feel of a German car but overall I love driving it plus Its been reliable after it's initial work. I could easily drive this car till it's ratty and not mind. It's actually put me on a Nissan kick lol il probably get rid of all my cars and trucks down the road and get a newer Titan and drive that as an only vehicle.nissans just seem to have more style/fun for the price and seem to be pretty good cars on average
