The Good
The 2011 Nissan Maxima offers a compelling blend of performance and practicality. Its powerful V6 engine delivers satisfying acceleration, appealing to the emotional buyer. The comfortable interior and smooth ride enhance the driving experience. Relatively strong reliability (compared to some rivals) and decent fuel economy for its class make it a sensible choice for practical buyers. The stylish design also adds to its appeal.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2011 Nissan Maxima include continuously variable transmission (CVT) issues, which can be expensive to repair. Some owners have reported problems with the electronic systems. Premature brake wear and suspension component wear are also things to look out for. How Does the 2011 Nissan Maxima Compare to Other Sedan?
Alternatives to consider include the Toyota Avalon for its superior reliability and comfortable ride, or the Acura TSX for a more engaging driving experience (if you can find one with a manual transmission). The Buick LaCrosse offers a more luxurious interior at a similar price point. While the Maxima has its strengths, the Avalon is generally a safer bet in terms of long-term reliability.

Problems at low mileage!!!Exterior looks great. However, I started to have problems at low mileage. Had to replace my Wheel bearing 80k miles, then my alternator at 82k miles and now transmission failed at 134k.

Maxima's are a great vehicle to own!Bought this car new, have owned several maximas over years. Never had a problem with them. Fortunately didn't have far to drive to work. Retired in 2019, only have around 82,000 miles on this 2011. Took it twice from Pennsylvania to Colorado, very comfortable to travel in. I recommend this vehicle.

2011 Nissan Maxima SV I love it!I love my 2011 Nissan Maxima SV. Its very sporty looking and easy to add additional accessories and equipment to make it look sharp. It has been a very reliable car. I love my backup camera and my satellite radio. This car has lots of features for it just being a 2011 such as heated steering wheel, mirrors and both front seats. The dash looks awesome with its orange glowing indicators. I would say the only con is kinda expensive to maintain. Later after a new cvt transmission, I learned special transmission fluid must be changed as often as your oil changes if not more. Im not a huge fan of the CVT transmission as this slap stick shifter you dont feel it ever shift gears its explained to me that its like a big rubber band it just stretches as needed. Word to the wise: Change fluids within the first month if youve replaced your transmission on this car. Id still buy this sporty vehicle again and again.

These people lack integrityThe salesman tried to sale me a car with 4 front end accidents in the same place without telling me. And Steve the finance guy kept my $1000 down payment although I didn't purchase that piece of junk.

More than I expected. The car is in pristine condition. Bought at a reasonable price! It was worth the drive from Chicago to Ohio to purchase. Will make my next purchase using this method.

Sad to see it goThis car was my first car and it's currently up for sale because of my college situation. My family has always owned Volvos, Cadillacs, Lincolns, Mercedes, etc. and I can honestly say that this vehicle is up to par with all of them on everything from comfort to performance. The only downside I have ever noticed is the fuel economy, which isn't even that bad, at roughly 21 MPG average. If any of you are considering a Maxima, I cannot stress enough how great they are.

Durable and stylish car.I got this car as a Valentines Day gift and that's when I named her "White Diamond"! It was my first car with back up camera which was my favorite feature. Also in the winter time the heated seats and heated steering wheel is a HUGE plus!! It's great on the road and get good gas mileage, I've only put 93 gas in it since I've had it.

Got me from point A to point BThis car got me to where I needed to go. I had issues with the power steering fluid the struts and something else in the engine and front end immediately after buying it. I didn’t get the warranty when I should’ve if I knew I was going to have so many problems in a day.
