Great compact SUVBought if off a friend with 167,000 km....now at 268,000 Replaced front calipers otherwise its been problem free. Don't get a lot of snow but handles beautifully when we do get it. Haul my 2 kayaks on the roof racks all over the place.

Extremely Reliable Around Town and On the RoadVery comfortable for long road trips. Economical at up to 27mpg highway. Great for hauling an amazing variety of things you might never think would fit inside or on top. Rear seats are removable to create a generous cargo area. An awesome and affordable SUV for the solo or partnered adventurer. The AWD model won't ever get you stuck or stranded.

A good car for first time driversI’ve had this care for a little over a year and it’s never given me trouble the only complaint I have is harsh shifting of the transmission. Great car to drive in town and out of. Great gas mileage hardly have to refill if using in town fills up cheap. Love the interior. Perfect for dogs.

Still On the Road and Loving it after 16+ years!My wife and I have been driving a combined total of 136 years. We have owned cars from the American "Big Three" automakers, two German cars, a pickup truck, two Jeeps and a French car (don't ask and never again!). Our Toyota Rav4 is the most trouble-free, pleasant to drive, and inexpensive to maintain car we have ever owned. We bought it new over 16 years ago, it still looks good, drives well, gets great mpg, and we're saving to buy an upcoming Rav4 Adventure but will keep this 2002 Rav4 (now approaching 175,000 miles). My wife already dibs it in spite of the planned new car as she doesn't want to drive anything else because she loves it so much. We've driven it coast-to-coast twice and the only part we've ever had to replace in all of these years is the water pump. Incredible!

Good compact SUVI'm a owner of a 2002 RAV4. It's a manual. I bought the RAV4 about 2 years ago with 167xxx miles , and now it's 204000 miles. I had only replaced o2 sensors, other than that only oil change every 3000 to 4000 miles. I would say it will still present good until I want a new SUV
