The Good
The 2007 Toyota RAV4 excels in reliability, offering peace of mind to practical buyers. Its comfortable ride and spacious interior provide a pleasant experience for passengers. The available V6 engine delivers surprisingly peppy performance, appealing to those seeking a bit more fun. Good fuel efficiency for its class and strong resale value make it a smart choice.
The Bad
Some 2007 RAV4s experienced issues with the automatic transmission, particularly with rough shifting. The base 4-cylinder engine can feel underpowered when fully loaded. The interior plastics can seem cheap and prone to scratching. Also, be aware of potential oil consumption issues in higher-mileage examples. Rust can be a concern in areas with heavy road salt use.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) were generally good. The RAV4 received a "Good" rating in the moderate overlap front crash test. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) awarded the RAV4 four stars for driver and front passenger protection in frontal crashes, and five stars for side impact protection. Optional features included daytime running lights and a tire pressure monitoring system. Overall, the 2007 RAV4 provided a solid level of safety and technology for its era, though it lacks the advanced driver-assistance systems found in newer vehicles. The absence of features like Bluetooth connectivity in the base models is notable by today's standards.

How Does the 2007 Toyota RAV4 Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
In terms of reliability, the RAV4 and CR-V were generally considered top choices. Feature-wise, the competition was fairly even, though the specific features varied by trim level and model year. Price-wise, the vehicles were also comparable. If you prioritize fuel efficiency and refinement over outright power, the Honda CR-V is a similar alternative. For standard all-wheel drive, the Subaru Forester is a good option. If you want something a bit more modern, consider a newer generation of the RAV4 or CR-V, but be prepared to pay more. The Mazda CX-5, while not a direct competitor in 2007, offers a more engaging driving experience in later model years and might be worth considering if you are looking at newer alternatives.

Nearly the perfect SUV for it's era!!!I've owned dozens and dozens of car and this one has impressed me the most. Tons of power from the V6, typical Toyota reliability, very ergonomic, and very capable. I've hauled weight in this thing that would rival any truck and pulled a trailer that was double it's load rating. I can't say enough good things about it CONS: Brakes are just two small for this weight! The side opening rear door

Toyota Rav4 07I like Toyota.. However, living in AZ, you don't get the correct information about the recalls they have. I've been trying to get this information since I purchased the. car, 2018. I just wish Toyota would have answered the letter I sent them.

Worst car I've ever owned. This model along with the 2006 through 2011 4 cylinder, and this is for all four cylinder Toyota vehicles, have defective piston rings and their engines will fail.
