it’s my baby🥹got the car mid 2023 as a gift. it’s my first car and honestly, it’s amazing. doesn’t have anything too flashy, but gets me from point a to b. she’s super spacious, though my heated seats sometimes don’t work. the ac does break sometimes, but i love how fast the take off speed is 🙂

Good car at low milesServed me well for 5 years but after 130,000 miles it started burning oil and after 140,000 I needed all sorts of things fixed. Wheel bearing, air conditioning, airflow sensor and more. The tires also wear out/ lose air faster than in most other cars. And the airbags would turn off for the passenger and sometimes the driver.

Buyer BewareAfter a certain milage I've had issue after issue, I would never own another Subaru after this car. I've had issues with my hood latch, muffler and exhaust, head gasket and radiator within three months. I don't even have 150,000 miles.

Great car highly recommendedI have had it almost 2 years and the only problem I have had is somebody scratching my trunk hood and a dent from a crazy driver hit and run which wasn’t covered by my insurance

Absolutely adored this car until... 136,000My family has been buying Subaru's my whole life. We've always driven them "into the ground" if you will. I commute a total of 64 miles a day and travel a lot through out the year. I love hiking and mountain biking and this Subaru was the perfect fit for my life style. Even my Great Pyrenees loves it! She has her own little hammock in the back where she can snooze and catch the breeze. At 26,000 miles, my center differential went bad and Subaru gave me a brand new CVT Transmission. I've kept up with all my maintenance and take pride in keeping my car in great condition. At 136,500 miles, I started noticing a shudder in my transmission. Mainly in first and second gear. Then the next day, it was significantly worse. I experience the shudder in third and fourth gear, but not as bad. I contacted Subaru of America since they extended the warranty on the CVT by 100,000 due to customer complaints. I'm obviously over that limit and they weren't too willing to help out. The best option they had was to give me a trade-in with credits towards a new Subaru. I'm hesitant to take this offer and haven't made a decision yet, but I wanted to share my story. I really, really love this car. It brings me to tears to think I might sell it. I hope this helps someone else <3

I WISH I KEPT LOOKING!My 2003 honda accord is better. The engine is loud when you accelerate it always sounds like its having trouble trying to speed up. When driving on the highway the cabin sounds very loud. You can't hear anyone talking in the front if you are in the back its so loud. Pay a little extra and get something better maybe even a legacy.

Goes Anywhere, but it‘s Terminally BoringI’ve owned the limited trim level since I got it new. It’s gone 116,000 miles, survived New England and Midwestern winters, and many trips to drill weekends that should have rescheduled due to weather. It’s a good thing that the places this car can take me are fun and exciting, because the drive there is as safe and dull as waiting for my desktop to start up. Truly, this car is a comfort blanket on wheels. Nothing about it could be considered challenging, exciting, or thrilling. But that’s not really the point though, the modern Impreza isn’t for gear heads or car people. It’s marketing is really concise - this car is designed specifically for people who hike the Appalachian Trail, and their couple’s night involves microbreweries and craft beer. They probably have a golden retriever, or black lab, and them and their spouse wear matching Columbia down vests. The drab utility of this car doesn’t mean that you have to shop at Whole Foods and drink imported Arabica coffee (French pressed, of course), but it’s lack of excitement and dreary dependability feels self assured with taking away your agency when holding the wheel. It will get you there, just sit down and let this baby sitter of a vehicle take you to your destination.
