"Quick Text" Entune system unreliable!.I love everything about my 2017 TRD PRO Cement Gray 4Runner "except" the ENTUNE system. The Quick Text message system only works 1 out of 20 times. Not very useful when hands free safety is concerned. Dealer R&Red the Entune system, however replacement Entune has same problem. Not happy as this adds to the danger of handling a phone instead of using the Entune Quick Text while driving. The Entune system Quick Text didn't work with either of my new Samsung or Moto Android phones even after I changed phone carriers. Also the right side touch screen buttons on the original Entune system failed as well. Very disappointed Toyota. This was my second 4runner purchase. Other than the Entune system, a perfect vehicle IMO.

TEXAS heat and NO AC, only sometimesOur current brutal heat in Texas, it stinks when our AC system is unreliable. My 4 Runners AC sometimes doesn't turn on at all, sometimes it turns on after about 15 miles. When is a recall a recall? I've seen other 4 Runners on the road exactly like mine with their windows open too. Beautiful vehicle otherwise. Vehicle was purchased used with only 17k miles - we shouldn't have this issue.

2017 4Runner fantastic except EnTune RadioI have the 2017 Cement colored TRD Pro. I love everything about it except the EnTune system where the Quick Response works inconsistently like 1 out of 10 times. The dealer replaced the system but even the new replacement exhibits the same issues. Quick response text fails the same way with my Samsung and Moto android phones. The original Engine system right bank of touch keys stopped functioning soon after warranty. :-(. But it was replaced by the dealer since I had a history of complaints about the inadequate Engine Text Quick Response....it still fails to send the Quick response message 9 out of 10 times and reports a error message. Dealer tried updating SW but that didn't work Other than this we love our 2nd 4Runner. The other 4 Runner is a SR5 Sport V8 4WD. We love it as well

2017 4Runner TRD Off RoadI purchased a 2017 4Runner TRD OffRoad brand new. This is the second one we"ve owned the first one being a 2007. This is the best vehicle we"ve ever owned. If your looking for alot of bells and whistles this is prbly not the ride for you. If your lookin for something durable and rugged then look no further. Great off road features, smooth ride and ample storage makes it a winner. Except for having to replace the hood latch this beast has been trouble free. The halogan headlights are way outdated and I replaced them with LED. As of this review I had an appraisel of 29,000.00 with 75k mi and I paid 36,000.00 brand new. Would like to get a pickup but I don"t know if I can part with her.

Last of two 4Runners I've owned!The Entune system designed by toyota is defective on many 4 Runners. The touch screen buttons on the right side failed right after warranty expired. $3000 to R&R. I've purchased 7 new toyota's. Last one after this wide spread defect. Its all over the internet for years and Toyota has done absolutely nothing to honor their commitment to produce quality products. This has been a well known toyota engine problem for years now. BOHICA! That's for sure TOYOTA!
