The Good
The 2014 Subaru Legacy offers all-weather capability thanks to its standard AWD (emotional appeal). Practical buyers appreciate its reliability, comfortable ride, and good value. The design is understated yet functional, and fuel efficiency is competitive, making it a sensible and safe choice.
The Bad
The 2014 Subaru Legacy's weaknesses include a somewhat bland interior design and occasionally sluggish base engine performance. Some owners have reported issues with excessive oil consumption. The continuously variable transmission (CVT), though fuel-efficient, may not appeal to drivers seeking a more engaging driving experience. Watch for potential issues with the infotainment system.

Final Verdict: Is the 2014 Subaru Legacy a Good Sedan?

Best handling car I've ever owned.I love the AWD system. The car handles very well in snow. It handles really good no matter the road conditions. I've owned this car for 7 years and it's never left me stranded. Gets decent gas mileage. And it has great visibility. The 2014 Legacy 3.6R is overall my favorite car I've ever owned. If I had one thing I'd like to see improved, it would be to make a turbo or preferably a twin turbo version with like 450HP.

Most reliable ever.We have a 95 Legacy. The car will go anywhere. It is a safe car with the comforts of a big car. We love it....no other cars for us. Once you own one....you won't own another. : )

Awesome reliable car.Was in the market for a Subaru when I came across this car at a used car lot. Immediately purchased it that day. It's a manual transmission and the clutch is super smooth. Great on gas. The trunk space is expanded by the back seats folding down. The seats are super comfortable. The only thing that's super important is to make sure you can depress the clutch all the way. I am... Very short ha. I've driven manuals before and never had this problem. But I cannot depress the clutch all the way even at the closest seat setting. So I have to get an extension which is fine but I know next car I buy I'm checking to see. That's the only reason I gave this car 4/5 stars.

3.6R Limited Legacy = POWER for great price!Set the scene: Two foot of snow on a Wisconsin road. Legacy rolling through it with snow coming over the hood like a pissed off snowmobile. Parked that Legacy in the garage. Popped the hood to see bottom of engine completely surrounded in sizzling snow. Closed hood and repeated this all season long with a giant smile on my face! Can't stop this car. Would buy this thing any day of the week for its AWD and power.

Safe, reliable car for my sonPerfect car for my son who is going to college and will have to commute daily to class/work. Very safe and very reilable but also a fun car for a young person. He loves the car and I know it is rated one of the safest cars on the road. Very happy with it so far.

Went back for another; great carExcellent car offering high mpg for 4wd(symmetrical). Can?t beat a Subaru on this! Previously owned a Legacy GT and after many miles, went back for another, (minus the turbo).

Wish I could buy it.It's stiff to drive but handles well and the interior is comfortable and feels good. I love it. I wish I could afford the vehicle.
